Extreme fatigue/exhaustion

I’m on wegovy and stuck to 0.25 or 0.375mg doses due to side effects. I don’t think I can tolerate the severe exhaustion anymore and I’m going to have to stop. I can barely get out of the house to the gym to keep fit or go for a run

is this something anyone else has experienced and how long until it goes away when I stop do you think?

Are you eating enough?

Toolea · 17/05/2026 12:21

I really sympathise. I’m on 5mg mounjaro not Wegovy but am really struggling, like you, with terrible fatigue. I used to go to the gym several times a week but now I’m wiped out and dizzy after just 30 mins there. I’m losing weight steadily but because I can’t exercise I’m feeling really out of condition when I exert myself at all and worried that a good deal of my weight loss might be muscle. I’m also feeling quite flat and blank. I’m planning to drop my dose to the lowest MJ dose but pretty sure the suppression won’t be much. Certainly not the great suppression I have right now on 5mg. I’ve also seen a big improvement in my various immune conditions on MJ. But I’m too tired to enjoy life and my new slimness at the moment.
Sorry, I don’t have any advice but wanted to share my experience with you so you know you’re not alone.

are you fueling your body properly?

I don’t really have much suppression on this low dose so yes eating just fine. I’ve not lost much weight tbh

For years I’ve woken up before my alarm but now I am struggling to get out of bed. I have no energy and feel like I need to sleep and nap during the day. This is so unlike me, my DH has noticed how bad it is, usually I am on the go all the time and high energy. I’m not really doing housework let alone running or the gym. I forced myself to go to a Pilates class this morning then came home, had lunch and fell asleep! I’ve just got no interest in exercising and as I said, this is out of character for me. For years I’ve got up and walked the dog before work.

I am struggling with extreme tiredness after I have a meal. It actually feels like I am drunk

Are you sure it’s the injections and that you are not ill? Perhaps you should check in with your doctor as your reactions sound extreme. Maybe it’s your thyroid or iron? A blood test will give you the right information.

This got better for me 2-3 months in but it is still bad for the first 48 hours after jabbing (5mg) but then I get better as the week goes on.
