Wegovy - anyone tried the 7.5mg dose?

Now you can go up to 7.2mg dose on Wegovy- and apparently is nearly comparable to Mounjaro. (Sorry couldn’t edit the title as realised it’s not 7.5)

interested to hear experiences- and also practicality. Is it really actually 3x 2.4mg pens?

just wondering if it then allows you to use 1, 2, or 3 pens and adjust your dose long term in a very economical way…?

I lost 40lb on Mounjaro last year and had to move over to Wegovy when they raised the price but it took so long to get back up to the dose that kept the weight off that I’ve gained 15lb back :-(

Could be great if I can get back off the plateau and lose that 15lb again and maintain weight by adjusting between 2.4 & 7.2mg accordingly

According to one of the pharmacies - only certain pharmacies are being given the option to prescribe 7.2mg in the 3 pen format / price. They say it is only temporary until NovoNordisk start producing the 7.2mg pens (think they said June/July?), and it is on the understanding patients will be closely monitored (ordering patterns) to ensure they are using 7.2mg as prescribed.

In reality they are obviously not going to sit in your living room and enforce 3 injections, but it will mean you will need to manage your ordering / have a stock pile that you will need to use at some point / somehow manage order gaps in future.

Yeah - I mean it would save a couple of hundred quid if I stockpile and keep buying as prescribed. I can then move down to the next dose down with my stockpile :-)
i’m thinking 2 pens instead for 3 will be good for a while.
