Does anyone use any of the flavourless powders that you can add to coffee? Some say you cannot tell but I am really sensitive to textures so I’d like to know if this is genuinely true before investing!

I use Nutrition Geeks in my coffee and honestly can't taste anything.

I use nutrition geeks but I add it to huel and it’s tasteless. I added it to coffee and it tasted definitely beefy to me. I have added it in yoghurt as well and it dissolves and is tasteless for me

@Librariesrule @tricke what about texture? Does it thicken it? I can’t cope with wrong textures!

How do you usually take your coffee? You are going to notice a difference, so make it really different, then you are not trying to fool yourself. If you usually use take it black, add cream or a plant milk, and then it is just a different drink. If you usually take milk, add cream instead etc,
Another way round this is making your own bone broth, you can have a delicious cup of soup full of natural gelatin, and it tastes exactly like it should.

Geeks collagen powder is near tasteless, other brands not so much. Dissolves quite easily.

Protein powder is a different beast, can only be added to hot drinks very carefully by mixing to a paste in cold then whisking in.

Collagen isn't a complete protein and is supplementary to meeting your protein goals. Protein powder is a real protein substitute. This is a shame because I cannot stomach protein powder!

If you're struggling for protein I've found buying packs of sliced chicken or turkey and eating whenever is very easy.

I use Holland & Barrett collagen powder no texture but absolutely vile taste

I steam the MyProtein collagen powder along with creatine in the milk when I make my morning coffee. It dissolves completely and is genuinely tasteless but the texture is very, very slightly thickened. I'm afraid this is inevitable. You might be best trying something like a flavoured milkshake type powder so that it is something which is 'supposed' to be thick.

I use nutrition geeks too and really like it. It makes it creamier a little but I think but no taste.

I agree with this about Nutrition Geeks. I add it to coffee or ginger/lemon tea and don’t find it changes the texture or taste. I was a bit wary at first but very happy with it.

madeinthe80z · 08/05/2026 21:56

@PearlsTeapot @Springflowers3 thank you. What exact product do you get please? I like a coffee with a bit of creamer anyway so maybe if o add it to that I won’t tell much difference!

Maybe try willpowders? I use their collagen in my coffee and can’t taste any difference and texture is normal. I do use vanilla sugar free syrup in it too.

Springflowers3 · 08/05/2026 22:10

I use Nutrition Geeks Collagen Glow Up powder and their biotin tablets.

Thanks everyone Star
