Any tips?

Shopping lists? I eat almost anything

No need to respond if you don't agree with WLI or if you want to tell me to be in calorie defecit. I have tried everything but menopause is beating me every time.

Get some magnesium citrate capsules and take before bed - this will stop you taking up with headaches, and also keep you regular! A good way to up your protein is getting some clear whey powder, I get the mojito flavoured one from MyProtein and it is genuinely a nice thing to drink over ice and will give you 20g protein. Also have a couple of spoonfuls of greek yoghurt when you wake up so your body gets a protein hit straight away.

Good luck, it really is life changing, I'm doing the low and slow approach, I spent 3 months on 2.5; 3 months on 3.75 and I've just gone up to 5 today. I'm not losing as quickly as I could but I am prioritising preventing hair and muscle loss. The mental clarity I have on Mounjaro alone beats any weight-loss though, plus I have gone from pre-diabetic to in the middle of the normal range :)

Thank you everyone.

I already eat plenty of fruit, veg and salad it's the snacking between meals and after dinner that I need to cut out as that's what's got me in this state.

Hopefully eating a good filling meal and mounjaro will stop the cravings for junk food.

I'm working on myself and when I feel like I need to snack, I'm taking myself off to do something else, usually a job thats i've been avoiding

You should feel a lot less cravings but I would suggest not buying anything to avoid picking them up out of habit.

We still have some at home but mainly the kind DH likes.

Full fat yogurts to keep you full is the best advice I can give

Big dollops of 0% fat Greek yoghurt (higher in protein) on everything has helped me, can be made into a nice sauce with a good squeeze of lemon or lime and a bit of garlic to have with salmon/chicken and salad.

I’ve found MJ has really helped with mid afternoon snacking in the office where there is a huge tub of crap that constantly gets refilled - I battled this most days and no longer give it a thought. I am now really happy with dates, prunes, nuts, apple or pear and these see me through till dinner time.

I have completely gone off milk chocolate after years of a Flake or two in the evening. I have a sweet tooth but a couple of squares of good quality dark chocolate satisfies that.

i do think you need to give it some thought as you get started as you want to develop new eating habits that are enjoyable and sustainable. I’ve been surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed food since starting and really want to carry on with this way of eating.
