Going on holiday abroad and Mounjaro

I will be going on holiday abroad in a few months and I will be at the 3rd week of my 3rd injection.
At the moment I am still on syringe number 1 so I am starting to plan what and how to do it and I need suggestions from more experienced people.
Ideally I want to avoid bringing the medicine with me, I want to fully enjoy the food on holiday and two weeks of break from it will be alright. Also I want to avoid having to bring the syringe through airport security etc.
Now…. what do you think I should do?
Is stopping for two weeks while I am on holiday wise?
If I do so, once I come back from holiday, will I have to start again from 2.5mg?
Will I have to discard the 4th dose that I won’t be able to take as I will be already on holiday? That’s will be quite annoying for the waste of money.
Could I maybe space out the days in which I jab on the 2nd syringe and avoid altogether buying injection number 3 before I go on holiday?

Because I thought it was pretty obvious from the context what the OP meant. And I like to chat... that's why everyone "gets involved" on MN...

I just injected the day I travelled, left it at home, enjoyed holiday and continued jabs as normal when returned. Just leave it in the fridge, use same amount in return

Thanks everyone. So, do you put your syringe in suitcase or in cabin bags? If cabin, do you need any letter when you go through security?

I put the pen plus a needle (and a syringe as I was near the end of the pen through micro dosing) into the original box it was supplied in, inside my hand luggage and then mentioned it to the person on security. I didn’t bother taking it out of my bag to put in the grey trays.

On the way home, I didn’t even mention it at security and nobody bothered
checking my bag. I’m guessing they’ve seen loads of them in hand luggage by now.

I recently went abroad for two weeks and injected on the day we left, so I had coverage for the first week, and then took my chances the second week as I didn’t want to travel with it. I’ve otherwise been on it consistently since the end of November, and I went straight back onto my previous dose (5mg) when I got back. I ate pretty much what I liked on holiday although I was more mindful than I’d usually be. I gained 3kg but have already lost it (been back exactly a week).

I’m guessing that the OP means the injection pen when she says “syringe”.

Yes, I did. Sorry for using the wrong term.

Guess away, I prefer to know. Lots of people use syringes for WLI so it’s hardly an out there idea that it is what OP might mean.

I would never dream to use them unless they are in the form of authorised medicinal product.

I recently went away for three weeks, in that time I took 5 flights and not once did anyone even look at my WLI - I took my prescription letter just in case and used a Frio pouch in my hand luggage. I ate (and drank😬) pretty much whatever i wanted and came back 2lb lighter.
Unless you are having side effects that would impact on your holiday I would carry on as normal.
