Worried about starting wegovy

I tried mounjaro last year for a few months but I can’t afford it now due to price increase. Been off them for about 6 months.

I want to try wegovy but worried about starting it as it’s not been on the market for that long and worried about long term consequences or anything of taking it. I do suffer from health anxiety but have been working hard to get it under control.we

does anyone have any advice?thanks

Well, Wegovy has been around for significantly longer than Mounjaro, if that helps. It's the same medication that is also marketed as Ozempic, which is now just used for T2 diabetics in the UK where Wegovy is specifically for weight loss. But the exact same medication.

I don't know why you think Wegovy hasn't been is use for very long. It's been around longer than mounjaro!

It's the same drug as Ozempic, but Wegovy is just the name it has in the UK to be licensed for weightloss use rather than diabetes. A medical technicality, basically.
