Hey,
Anyone actually losing at snail speed any slower and it will stop (it has quite a lot anyway).
Started 21st June 2025 so last year.
I've not even lost 2 stone yet, I have lost 1 stone 12lb but that 12lb goes between 12lb and 14lb.
I've lost inches granted but what!

The total 26lb lost yay amazing but 13lb of that was the 1st week 😔.

I'm finishing 2 more doses of this 7.5mg pen then will be on 10mg, anyone gone up that can tell me how they felt?

No advice to give I’m afraid. I’m five weeks in and though I lost ten pounds in the first week I’ve only lost two pounds since while the rest of the January group seem to be wasting away. Can’t understand it, Im eating a quarter of what I ate before, and it’s all so so healthy. Was trying to be patient but your post has made me think I might just be a snail too :( On the upside I’ve had no side effects really.

itsneverdullinull · 14/02/2026 19:46

I’m a slow loser too - been on since 28th June and lost 18kg. Have had a couple of plateaus and am now on 12.5mg. I have at least another 10kg to lose. But I feel better, I am now longer diabetic (moved from HBAC1 of 7.7 to 3.7) and have a lot fewer aches and pains. I am not looking for food like a Labrador anymore. The peace inside my head is priceless.

What I mean is, look for the other positives. They’re valuable as much as the weight loss is.

How much weight do you need to lose?
It took me 3 months to lose my first stone and 4 months to lose my second stone. I started in May 2025.

I’m a slow loser, 18kg since 8 July. But today I had a non-scale victory (NSV) when I fit into a size 16 velvet trousers that I bought 10 years ago! So there are positives. And think about the positives internally, less fat around major organs, stabilised blood pressure/sugar. I feel like we are all very fortunate to have this drug available and that we can afford to use it. 🌹

I’ve only lost 2 stone since August, so 6 months. But I’m ok with it, I’ve had no real side effects and still enjoy food. My life doesn’t feel any different other than I eat less and feel slimmer and healthier. I’m enjoying clothes shopping again.
This feels like a journey for life and it’s manageable.

im currently on 7.5mg but don’t seem to be losing any weight so may go up to 10 soon. I’m going to try one more month on 7.5.

HappyWineDay · 15/02/2026 09:49

@sacav you’re losing at just under a lb a week which is a very healthy rate to lose. You didn’t lose 13lb in the first week, that is physically impossible. It was water.
Are you counting calories? What is your TDEE and what calorie deficit are you targeting? If you aren’t losing as fast as you want, you really do need to know how many calories you are eating. Just eating healthily won’t do it.

LifeisLemons · 15/02/2026 11:16

MJ doesn’t magically dissolve the fat, you still need to eat at least 500 less calories daily than you’re using if you want to lose at least 2lb a week, which is still a healthy rate and not too fast.

Adding exercise will help speed up your metabolism.

If you’re still eating your normal foods but not carefully calorie counting, you’re probably eating somewhere around your maintenance level of calories most days. It really is that simple.

I started on 2.5mg last March and by October had lost 2 stone and never upped my dose once. However have had a break Oct - January and the llbs were creeping back on. Started back on 2.5 mounjaro and lost 0. upped my dose to 5mg lost 0. Can't understand it. Last year it came off really easily without having to calorie count or really exercise (the odd walk), but doesn't seem to be working since I had a break from it.

jennyelliott · 15/02/2026 15:16

I have been the same unfortunately, so frustrating! I came off Mounjaro with the price increase my diesel was the 12.5 then on Wegovy started lower dose no loss, stopped for 6 weeks for an operation, gained 3 lbs, back on wegovy now since November no weight loss, I have increased the dose of wegovy now imup to the 2.4g, which would be the equivalent to my last dose of mounjaro

ShawnaMacallister · 15/02/2026 15:24

If you're not able to stick to a calorie deficit then your dose may be too low, so I would increase it until you find the dose that works for you.

Mumarch · 16/02/2026 13:59

I plateaux for a month at a time. But I just keep going.

LumionaMoonsplash · 16/02/2026 15:07

I think the fast losers have given the WLI a reputation for working quickly. Our individual biology depends on so much, our natural hormones, health issues with food absorption, starting weight, food and alcohol consumption, mental health and where the weight gain came from to start with.

If the scales are going in a downward motion and you needed to lose weight, then overall this is a great thing. My own 5.5st weight loss has been slow, this took me over 2yrs. I went straight up the doses of MJ every month and plateauxed many times or only lost 1lb in a month. The cost of the meds is the toughest thing when it feels like there's no progress.

However, I'm now slim for the first time in 30yrs and grateful for the time it took. It gave my body time to adjust to reducing from size 20 to 10, I don't have too much loose skin. I had time to develop a good gym routine and healthy food habits and now it is second nature.

traveltraveltravel78 · 17/02/2026 07:16

I've been on it since Feb 2025 and have lost 3st 11.8 so a slow loser. But in the plus side- no saggy skin!

BigOldBlobsy · 17/02/2026 07:27

Slow loser - 2 years nearly to lose 2 stone - got another stone to go and then I’m done but hoping I can hurry this last one up!

letshavetea · 18/02/2026 05:24

October 2024 to now I’ve lost two stone. Definitely a slow loser! I just keep going and I feel so much better. I lose a pound a month on average with some plateaus. It all adds up and I’m fine with it - apart from the fact it’s expensive! I’m on 10mg which I titrated up to slowly. I’d like to lose around another 2 - 4 pounds. I’m hypothyroid and on Sertraline which accounts for the slow losses.

Please do not be disheartened!
I'm not slating anyone on our lovely Jan group but I've seen a lot of posters say they only ate a sandwich all day or only had a couple pieces of fruit. That's not sustainable long term and that's why the weight is falling off them
I haven't restricted my diet at all, if I want it I'll have some and I have lost a kg a week

whatnexxt · 19/02/2026 12:37

What are you eating? Are you in a calorie deficit?
