New to WLI - where do I start

Right I’ve made the decision to take WLI after some long long thinking. I want to lose three stone.

I have already lost nearly three stone but have been at a plateau for a year. I don’t gain anymore but that struggling lose and drastically cutting calories or going Keto isn’t an option with a young child and hectic job.

energy isn’t great, I’m doing lots of exercise but know shedding some pounds would make this easier and overall sick of how hard it is.

I don’t know where to begin. Mounjaro seems out of my price range but Wegovy seems doable. Not sure what supplier to go with?

Concerned about this idea of them being for life - I really don’t want that, confident I can keep my lifestyle active and balanced enough to keep the weight off as already in a good place.

Any shared experiences would be much appreciated.

In terms of where to get them from, any GPhC registered pharmacy. That could be a local high street one if they offer WLI, or an online one. Have a look at https://monj.co.uk for a Mounjaro price comparison list, it's not exhaustive but it's usually pretty up to date. Personally, I avoid subscription based pharmacies and those that want to offer coaching, apps, etc as I don't want any of that. The medication is exactly the same wherever you get it from. You can change pharmacy each month if you want to, to take advantage of new customer offers.

There's a lot of things posted about needing to be on them for life. It's not a reason imo to not consider using them, but to think carefully about a long term exit plan. I personally think exercise and long term habit building is helpful, as is planning to come off the medication slowly over a period of time, to adjust back and to maintain at/near to target weight.

Also, https://igovy.co.uk/wegovy-price-comparison-uk/ for a Wegovy price comparison list.
