Indefinitely, I would say. It feels a bit like a crutch and I’m scared of putting all the weight back on. Even if it’s a low dose, I’d feel better knowing it’s there. You?

Probably forever. My chronic inflammatory eye condition which kept me on and off steroids for over 6 years hasn't relapsed in 19 months. In the ten years before that I was lucky to make it 2 months between flare ups.

Plus my menopause exhaustion has gone, my BP is back at normal levels and my energy levels have rocketed so I can actually go to the gym 5 days a week.

I am also no longer thinking I can't cope with working the the seniority level In fact I am actually looking at potential promotions again.

It has changed my life. Actually, no, it has given me my life back.

I’ve lost over 5stone and did 2 months of each dose up to one month of 12.5 and then back down the pyramid but one month of each dose instead:
2.5, 2.5, 5, 5, 7.5, 7.5, 10, 10, 12.5, 10, 7.5, 5 and next week I’ll start 2.5 again.
the plan was to come off slowly because I absolutely do not want to regain. I started in March, hit goal by Sept and have maintained since.

As I’ve come down the doses the food noise is increasing - wanting to snack, feeling drawn towards junk. So I’m doing my utmost to be mindful and to be careful. It’s not easy but I have overhauled my diet and fitness as well as doing MJ. I think if I even gain like 200/300g next month I probs will do another pen, I’m keen to get off it due to financial reasons but it has been a wonderful investment for me and my future.

so in answer - possibly only a month or two before I try to go it alone. But will absolutely go back on it if needed!

I want to stay on it as long as possible. Have lost 8 stone so far just staying on 2.5mg. No titration needed as this dose is perfect for me: I can lose or maintain on it and over the past 18 months have had periods of doing both. I’m losing about 2lbs per month now, which is fine I’m in no rush for the last couple of stone, and I can eat a good amount of if I want to. I just have the perfect level of control to stick to a balanced diet most of the time. I do still feel hungry but I think that’s absolutely vital in terms of managing control. I don’t want the MJ to do it for me, just to help

Been on it for 22 months all the way up to 15mg lost 7 stone. Never going back there again. Have maintained on 5mg for 11 months.

I have been on it for over a year and have lost just under five and a half stone. I am sixty, and am maintaining at 8:2 to 8:4 at 5ft 4.

I intend to stay on it for the foreseeable, same as other prescription medications I need to take to maintain my health.

I can't place anymore orders now (very big gap and healthy bmi) so doing smaller doses out my few remaining pens and then will come off completely at some point later this year. I'm currently doing 5mg from a 10mg pen, so it lasts 10 weeks. My weight loss journey took 13 months and I've been in maintenance since end of '25.
