Aches - is this to do with mounjaro?

I’ve done exactly 3 weeks of mounjaro. For the first 2 weeks I felt great, no issues whatsoever. After 2 weeks + 1 day i woke up feeling really achey and strange, a kind of sensitive feeling all over my skin. It kind of comes and goes, almost like patches of my skin are really tender. I get random aches all over, my fingers, feet etc. My hips ache when I wake up and general leg aches. I have felt the sensitive/tender thing in the past 6 months or so but not like this and not all over. I don’t feel ill with it.

I have really bad health anxiety anyway so it’s freaking me out. I did have an unhealthy meal the night before this started so I initially put it down to that. It’s been 6 days now though! Anyone had similar?

Not something I had nor the people I know irl who are on mounjaro.
Sounds more like flu to me.

It’s probably just a coincidence. I did have random sore skin for a while and I believe that is a known side effect. It did go.

Maybe anxiety related, the mind is a powerful thing.

I have the sore skin kind on my legs and scalp, kind of like mild sunburn. From what i can tell it's called Allodynia and is a rare but know side affect. Have had it for the last week, not unbearable but quite annoying, hope it eases soon.

Yes I have aches, particularly when I move up a dose. But I haven't noticed anything with my skin x

SantasBairyHollocks · 03/02/2026 19:05

Yes my skin hurt and it got worse as I went up the doses. It was like sharp electric pulses especially around my abdomen and groin. It went away when I stopped over Christmas. I’ve recently restarted and within a week the sensation was back again.

It’s irritating, especially at night, but worth it for the weight loss!

Yes I got horrible aches!

Itscoldouthere · 04/02/2026 00:19

Allodynia is a known side effect.

Yep I’ve had this. When I looked into it, it seemed like a fairly common side effect. It does seem to fade after a few days
