Stalled on both Mounjaro and Wegovy

So a bit of history: started Mounjaro May 24, and it was amazing. Strong food suppression from the start. As I titrated up, I started getting strong nausea on injection day and began to dread it but I persisted to 15mg where I stalled. Total weight loss was around 21%. Switched to Wegovy due to price and started low. Tolerate it much better in terms of side effects but I’ve not had any further weight loss and I’m on 2.4mg now.

I don’t want to come off entirely as I feel my inflammation is massively reduced. I now work out 5-7 days a week and feel great. Much happier with my appearance and health generally. However, I would like to lose the last few kilos. Debating whether to attempt to go up to the new 7.2mg dose (scared of the big gap between the doses though!) or switch back to Mounjaro.

For complete transparency, my diet hasn’t been great over Xmas but I’ve not put anything on. I just have been stalled for around 9 months between the two injections.

Anyone else? Any thoughts?

Do you track food? Have you worked out your maintenance and cutting tdee on tdeecalculator.net? Like you said your diet hasn't been great, like most peoples hasnt over xmas and with it being winter and wanting comfort food. I've gone to bmi 22.5 from 32.8, to get that low, I had to cut my carbs and increase protein and water. It really makes a difference. My maintenance cals is 1500 so I had to eat 1000 or below to lose. I'm now maintaining at 9st and doing body toning classes with weights.

Track your calories.
In the beginning the suppression tends to be stronger and you eat less so the calories stay low. If they creep up then you are no longer in a deficit.
And if you're not in a deficit then you won't lose regardless of which wli you're taking.

I'm in the same position. I was still losing on Mounjaro but side effects at 15mg were bad and then the price went up. I've just asked if I can go up to the new 7.2mg dose of Wegovy. Food noise feels back and every day is a fight. Which I'd rather not be paying for if there's no real difference. I'm losing at the same rate I was without (1kg in 4 months).

It’s not 7,2 it is 3 injections one gayer the other. The new pen isn’t out yet.

i think if you have stalled for 9 months it doesn’t really work for you and you should take a break and when diet fatigue is gone. Then start again.
