Does mounjaro still have the fifth dose ?

I think I need to go back into MJ as wegovy not working . I need 15mg which is expensive . I know they were phasing the extra dose out but has this happened yet?

The pens I have got recently were all exactly the same as usual, currently on 10mg. I’ve seen no evidence that anyone has yet got a reduced volume pen.

How are people getting this extra dose? I tried once or twice and couldn’t get anything out!

Mine always has and I’ve been fortunate enough to manage to get it just by giving the pen a good hard twist to the 1 for the 5th dose. All from different suppliers - IQ Dr, PillSorted, MedExpress & Pharmacy 2U

Same as @momental, hard tight twist to the 1, normally feel a little pressure like its resisting but then injects as usual. Use the spare needle that comes with the pen. I have so far managed this on 4 pens. Im not going down the route of getting medical needles online especially when they are as long as your arm.

The ones I got were tiny, just very fine insulin syringes. Not really any different to the pens. I havent tried the hard twist yet, what happens if it doesnt work, could I just use the syringe instead then?

I bit the end and twisted as hard as I could over and over again until it got to the number 1. The pen before that I just twisted hard and it worked.

My 5mg pen 20th December was still a full 3ml fill.

You can get fine 4 or 6mm needles to use on 1ml luer lock syringes. I get from ukmedi site

Mine still have. Sometimes can get it out with hard twist, other times the plunger is too short and I have to extract. Seems random

Just a needle syringe and draw it out, though you may need to push some air into the dose first occasionally.

I got some insulin needles from the pharmacy- it was really easy to do!

Yes, if the hard twist was to fail you would still be able to access the liquid via the top of the pen

Love the uncapping of the sterile syringe, putting it down uncapped and needle down on a non sterile surface, to wipe the pen with alcohol swab to sterilise 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep, felt a bit arse about face to me but the idea is there 😂
