I definitely indulged a bit on the chocolate yesterday.
B - Nothing
L - medium Christmas lunch with 2 roasted potatoes
S - 5 celebration and 2 Ferrero

Only had leftover seafood boil today as I jabbed last night.

Bloody awful food wise!
I’ve been really greedy. All bad habits crept back in.
But..wonderful being with family & friends.
will get back on it tomorrow

TheChosenTwo · 26/12/2025 23:08

It was all okay. Had a small roast yesterday, no potatoes because they fill me up too much and there were a lot more interesting things to put on my plate! A couple of glasses of wine and some cheese later on. Oh and a few sausage rolls early afternoon. No pudding and no chocolate, didn’t fancy any.
Today has been more snacky but tomorrow I’m up early for an exercise class as per my normal Saturday morning so I’ll be back to regular scheduled programming from tomorrow morning!
This is my second MJ Christmas and it was pretty similar last year.

MrsMiagi · 26/12/2025 23:09

Jab hasn't worked at all this week, I have been a right porker! Loved every second and yummy mouthful. Will be winding it back in over the weekend and perhaps upping my dose next week to help.

I’m on my 20 th month. Been all the way up to 15mg lost 8 stone got to goal last January. Titrated down to 5 where I’ve been since May . Haven’t gained or lost more than 2 lbs in nearly a year.

For me it absolutely is a magic bullet. I’ve always had a healthy diet. Always cook from scratch. Avoid beige food UPFs etc but have never denied myself anything - all the way through. Not just Christmas. So if I fancy a chocolate or a mince pie I have one. I simply have no desire to have two.
I became obese because my portions were way too big not because what I ate was unhealthy.

MJ simply stops that dead. I’m a size 8. 5’7”. 60 kg. Love food. Never feel deprived. Had Christmas lunch with all the trimmings except a teaspoon of stuffing, 2 roasties, small yorkie. 2 slices goose. Teaspoon peas. 4 small carrots. 1 roast parsnip. Gravy. Absolutely delicious. Finished all but half a roaster. Felt as satisfied as when I would eat 5 times the amount. Pudding an hour later was a profiterole a spoon of Christmas pud with cream.
What I didn’t do. Walk around all day putting everything I saw in my mouth. I ate a great meal and wanted nothing more.

LunchtimeNaps · 27/12/2025 01:36

I did jab. Not been on it for 1.5 weeks. Serious over ate this week and not sure when to get back on it.

Gettingbysomehow · 27/12/2025 02:08

I hardly ate anything. No appetite at all. I've lost 5 stone half a stone to go. Im not letting xmas stop me.

Willowy2 · 27/12/2025 07:12

Mine was brilliant, I love MJ. Christmas day I started with a coffee and x3 shortbread biscuits as I did the Christmas Day Park Run! When I got back I had a homemade protein shake.

Around lunchtime I had a small piece of Christmas cake with a cup of tea.

Christmas dinner was loads of turkey, a few small roast potatoes, x1 stuffing ball, veg, x1 pig in blanket, gravy etc. For dessert I had a Christmas pudding for one (no one else here likes it!) with a small scoop of brandy butter.

I don't drink but had a few glasses of 0% nosecco!

Boxing day i woke up and did a workout, and also went for a walk. Had my normal breakfast of Greek yoghurt, granola, seeds, blueberries etc. I had the best turkey sandwich for lunch, another piece of Christmas cake, and for dinner I had left over chow mein from the Christmas eve takeaway.

I've weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2lb since last week. I'm maintaining so nit trying to lose anymore, it tends to fluctuate up and down a few lbs either side of my goal.

I'm so happy to not feel over indulged, guilty, fat, out of control etc. It's so freeing. This is my second Christmas on MJ.

We are going away for a few days today, self catering, and I know I will be OK.

Can't wait to get back in the gym properly next week though.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 27/12/2025 07:21

I've been overindulging since Tues evening when I had a drink and lost all my willpower and gained the ability to eat past the effects of the MJ. I've felt uncomfortably full pretty much ever since but I have a feeling that if I actually worked it out, it's a lot less than normal. Still far more than I needed, but I jabbed last night (and increased my dose from 3.25mg to 5mg) so I will be back on track from today - for me that's probably the biggest change from previous years - the Christmas binge only lasting 3 days rather than over a week.

PurpleCoo · 27/12/2025 07:29

I jabbed yesterday, later in the day than usual, plus came on yesterday so I guess MJ wasn't working so well Xmas eve and Xmas day. I always eat a little more when due on.

But I would say I ate more than I would usually on a normal since MJ day, but less than I would usually on a normal Christmas.

I didn't buy any crappy processed party food like I normally would, but did eat bread and cheese type food, had full roast but slightly smaller portion, and roast leftovers yesterday. I have been eating chocolate, but not lots.

I put the leftover cheese in the freezer yesterday!

LaurieFairyCake · 27/12/2025 08:44

Had lots of (intentional) chocolate as it’s my favourite but just very little real food. I had a few spoons of beef Bourgignone yesterday with some cauliflower followed by at least ten chocolates.

On holidays I allow myself to not really bother much with proper food and just eat chocolate Grin I don’t put on weight as I’m still not eating a lot but after a day or two of that I’ve gone off the chocolate

yesterday was my ‘holiday’, on Christmas Day I ate proper food only and no chocolate

Kazzaa46 · 27/12/2025 09:45

Boxing Day was my jab day so I didn’t have a lot of suppression on Christmas Day.

I managed 3/4 of my Christmas dinner and had a small portion of pudding.
I did overindulge in the evening and had a lot of chocolate and snacks.

Boxing Day wasn’t as bad but I did eat more rubbish than normal. I jabbed later in the day on Boxing Day.

I’ll be back to normal eating today. I was surprised at how much sweet stuff I could eat but that’s always been my weakness.

Whatever has been gained in those two days will come back off in the next week or two and Christmas only comes once a year 🥰

realdreams · 27/12/2025 10:02

Mine has been a mixed bag but so far ok! Normally I’d be giving myself excuses to eat in the run up to Christmas but I didn’t feel like it - Christmas Eve dinner was grilled chicken and veg (utterly unheard of for me!).

Christmas day:
B: Slice of sourdough with cream cheese and smoked salmon
No lunch but we had Christmas dinner around 4pm: Ate about half a plate full but I did slow drink my way through 5 glasses of wine throughout the day and had 1/2 slice of cheesecake. I don’t remember eating any sweets and in fact, was perplexed when I came downstairs on Boxing Day and there were bowls of untouched sweets lying about. So I didn’t eat anything near what I’d normally eat but I defo drank way more than I do normally.

Boxing Day: Toast for brekkie, sandwiches and grazing for lunch and leftovers for dinner with 2 glasses of wine. I jabbed last night (3 days late) and am hopefully getting back on track for a few days now until I give myself another night off on NYE.

AlPaccacino · 27/12/2025 15:35

I’m not really paying much attention to the scales, but I’ve lost 3.5 stone since June 24. The main thing is my size. I’ve dropped from a size 24 to 18. Out of interest though I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost 7oz over the Xmas week.
just not majorly hungry. Made vegetarian sausage rolls for MiL and I couldn’t face them. Had about 3 of the 16 mince pies I made, over a week. Toast for breakfast on Xmas day and then couldn’t eat until 5 when I served dinner. Left half of it and no pudding.
yesterday I had a couple of crumpets and the made a tofu stir fry with a Chinese vegan curry. Made it for 2 and it served me , dh and MiL easily.
They’ve left for a party at his kids now and I’ve been left, unsupervised with the contents of the fridge. So I had blinis with full fat creme fraise and beetroot smoked salmon for brunch And now I’m stuffed again. Going to make some guacamole for dinner. And that’ll do me. A few chocolates maybe.

Redlightbulb · 27/12/2025 22:16

It went well. I did eat more that what I normally would do for a typical roast but no snacking / eating between meals or alcohol. That goes for the rest of the festive period as well.
I have just eaten out a bit more than usual the last few weeks.
2nd Xmas on MJ & last year was similar.
I find it best to not start snacking as from past experience prior to MJ it turns into an avalanche of eating crap that lasts until the New Year.
