The last stone is always the hardest

I’ve lost four; one more to go. And it’s hard, and is taking forever.

Anyone else?

I am fully expecting this! I've lost two and a half. And I'd like to lose another stone, ideally one and a half, but I'd be happy with one. It's slowing down a bit now I think. As long as I don't have a long plateau, I think I'll be happy though. Well done on your 4 stone!! You must feel fantastic x

CreepingCrone · 21/12/2025 19:35

Yes ,I'm in the same boat. 4 down and one to go. I feel stuck!

Flowers999 · 21/12/2025 19:37

Yes I have lost 6 stone 8lbs since Jan 25 ... trying to get to 10 stone and omg these last 6lbs will not leave! Been bouncing around 10 stone 6 for a few weeks!

maddiemookins16mum · 21/12/2025 19:45

Me too. I was 13 stone 12 at the end of May, I’m now 10 stone 9. Goal is 10 stone (I’m 5ft 4) and that would give me a bmi of 23.5. Nothing is shifting. I’m on 10mg of Mounjaro and eating 1400 calories a day.

Lazygardener · 21/12/2025 19:47

Yes! I want to lose another half stone, which will bring me into the healthy weight range, and I’ll be happy with that, but I keep losing and then gaining the same pound. I’ve gone up to 10 mg in the hope that it will help.

Gettingbysomehow · 21/12/2025 19:56

I'm fighting with the last half stone, it WILL NOT move arghhh.

achickenlikeheihei · 21/12/2025 20:00

So frustrating! We do need to remember what we’ve lost … I got a bit of a shock when ds (age 5) randomly stood on my scales and he is 2 stone 10lbs so I’ve lost a whole him and over a stone besides … it really brought it into perspective as he’s heavy (he’s not really hit you know what I mean!)

I've lost a total of 8st 9lb.
I want to lose another 11lb.

Yes, it's slowed down. Since last Christmas I've lost two and a half stone. But I knew it would be slow by this point.

So probably my last 11lb will take me until March. But that's great.

achickenlikeheihei · 21/12/2025 20:13

over eight and a half stone is incredible, how long did it take you?

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 21/12/2025 20:17

@achickenlikeheihei it took me 23 months.
My BMI was over 50 when I started.
It's 28 now.
I'm a size 10. Yay me!

But I'd just like to lose those final 11lb, to get to my goal. And I shall!

Bashitcrazy · 22/12/2025 07:04

I’m in the same boat. Have lost 3 stone since July, one more left to go and it’s taking an age. Just constantly bouncing around.

Alexadidzammomarryjackie · 22/12/2025 07:15

And me. 4 stone off, half a stone to go, but it has been months and it will not shift. I'm going to start reducing my dose now because I can't keep paying for mj and not losing, I just have to accept this weight, but I don't want to!

NoTouch · 22/12/2025 11:57

My most recent stone, taking me to BMI 25 (started BMI >40) has taken 21 weeks. I expect the next to take much longer, but happy to wait.

Mysticmaiden · 22/12/2025 12:24

My last stone took 5.5 months to go, the others took between 11 to 14 weeks. I'm now bmi 22.7 9st 05lbs and hit the 4th stone loss on my birthday 19th December which was a lovely surprise. For me I've had to keep dropping calories, my maintenance is 1500, no exercise, office job so I had to eat 1000 a day to lose. I also have to limit carbs and eat a high protein diet.

Have you recalculated your deficit on tdeecalculator.net? 1500 cals is maintenance for me, but I actually maintain from 1300-1500 and have to drop to 1000 to lose regularly. I am bmi 22.7 5ft 3.

PurpleCoo · 22/12/2025 12:36

I need to lose less than 3kg now to get a little way inside the healthy range. I'm not aiming for much lower as I am both an hourglass with a relative small waist and larger boobs/bum and also muscular because I exercise a lot including weights. But it's so slow... Even by my standards of trying to not lose weight too quickly. I have lost 29kg since February, but only 3.5kg in the past 3 months. I wanted to be off MJ by end of March as I'm traveling around Asia, but at this rate I might not even be at goal by then 🤦‍♀️

I don't mind the slow rate of loss now in terms of how I feel about myself and I'm not experiencing diet fatigue, as I am sure there is a lot of body recomp going on as well, it's just inconvenient due to travelling. I feel happy with how I look, except for a few minor problem areas that should resolve when my skin catches up and I keep going with muscle building.

IsItSnowing · 22/12/2025 13:16

I'm into the last stone to a normal bmi although I'd like another 7lbs under that. It is going very, very slowly now.
I don't mind too much as I feel/look so much better already but would like to get done.

Gettingbysomehow · 23/12/2025 07:15

I've lost 5 stone. Its taken me just over a year. I have to lose another half stone before my facelift in May. I'll have to do the unspeakable and start exercising I think.
I couldn't do any exercise before because I had two complicated hip replacements as a result of undiagnosed hip dysplasia as a baby. But they have finally healed thank goodness. So gym here I come.

Pashazade · 23/12/2025 08:30

The weight is a number, how do you feel in your body? Do you feel physically well, is your body working well? Do you actually need to lose that last little bit or can you adjust to where you are and learn to maintain that weight? My bmi is 27, I don’t care, I like my body where it is now and I’ve maintained that weight for six months without the Mounjaro (lost 4 stone in total). So don’t get sucked into you must reach a certain weight to be happy, what’s your body doing for you now, are you able to eat well and keep muscle tone up. Yes I still weigh everyday to keep myself in check but I’m not obsessing about the small fluctuations.

Nighttimeistherightime · 24/12/2025 06:21

I am losing about a pound a week now, if that. I have lost 6st 4lb now though so expected it to slow down. The stalls are much longer now I’m lighter. I weigh every other day now and it’s crazy to see the fluctuations. No wonder I used to get so disheartened at slimming clubs where I’d have put on even when I’d been on plan. Now I understand that my weight is affected by more than the calories I consume!
I’d like to be under 11st by the summer- I haven’t been that weight since 1996!

Fatmumslim01 · 24/12/2025 09:57

I've lost 3 and a half stone with ideally another 2 to go which would take me to the weight I was 20 years ago 😱 (8.13 which would be on the border of healthy weight to overweight im only 5 foot)

It's slowing down now (I'm 10.13 and started at 14.7) I'm about to go up to 12.5mg next week to see if that helps.

I am very similar stats to you, 10st 6 and 5ft 4. To lose about 1.5lb a week my calories would need to be around 1000, maintenance cals about 1500. This is not accounting for exercise but I find that they always over estimate how much exercise actually burns.
