Last dose? Or Golden Dose?

Please help - I’m having a brain fog day.
I can’t remember if I am on my last dose from my pen or if I was going up take the golden dose out of it.
I’ve attached a photo, does it look like I’ve got one more dose left?
Or should I try and get the golden dose out?

You've had 4 doses.

I think that the grey plunger is lined up with the last bump line on the glass vial. Which would mean you’ve done 4 normal doses, and so what’s there is the leftover medication after that.

Can someone remind me how much to take out of the golden dose? Would I be able to use every last drop?
This is a 10mg pen.

For any pen, a normal dose is 0.6ml. There is normally between 0.6 and 0.9ml leftover. So anything between 10mg and 15mg for a 10mg pen.

That looks like a good amount of golden dose. 0.6 is 10mg. 0.75 will be 12.5mg u may well get 0.8 out of that .

Thanks all, I’ve taken 0.6 - didn’t want to take more because I struggle with the nausea sometimes.
Looks like there is still a small amount left, maybe half a dose if I’m lucky?

I never did the golden dose until the summer when prices went up and everyone bought extra, I ran out so bought syringes and did the extra. And then went in and got the very last bit out the week after as I still couldn’t get hold of any. Not ideal but meh, I had 3 weeks where I had no idea if I’d ever be able to get hold of of again.
I don’t do it now but I think I got about 0.2mls out of the very last bit, taking 0.6mls from the first golden dose.

The chance of contamination is only the same as attaching a pen needle, as that also pierces the red seal.

As mentioned, there is usually between 0.6 and 0.9ml left over. So you might get another 0.2ml or so out. You would be over the 30 day usage limit though next week.

Is it an old pen? I didn’t think they came with the bonus dose anymore? I’m thinking of going back to mounjaro but haven’t been on it since the summer.

The pen design hasn’t been changed yet. The most recent pen I had a couple of weeks ago is exactly the same as they’ve always been.

I’ve put it back in the fridge so if the new pen doesn’t arrive in time I’ll try and use the rest of the golden dose.

Your syringe needles are sterile too if bought from a pharmacy so it’s totally fine (as long as you are comfortable with going over the 30day) I started off following that strictly but since the price jump have been a lot more relaxed than 1 week over, and still here to tell the tale with no issues.

I got a new pen yesterday and it still has 3ml in it and enough for a 5th dose.

I haven't seen any posts where anyone is confirmed getting reduced fill pens yet. It will come, but hasn't happened yet.
