Feeling so sick on 1mg Wegovy

Just looking for advice, I’m on my 14th week of wegovy and am on 1mg - I chose not to increase my dose last time as I was feeling so nauseous all the time and I’ve already lost 13lb - averaging about 1lb a week.

im very happy with my weight loss - I have about another 10lb to go until my target weight - but I feel so so sick, it’s like morning sickness but even worse (I’m definitely not pregnant!) I can’t face food at all, can just about manage small amounts of bland food, but I now haven’t eaten for 24 hours and have no desire to either.

does anyone have any tips for things i might be able to stomach? Obviously eating nothing is going to help me lose weight but I realise I do need nutrients!

Im on 0.5 2nd dose of wegovy i feel fine but put on 2lb this week

Has it ramped up? Weight loss at 1lb a week would indicate you’re eating plenty. You’re just 500 cals a day in deficit. Which means you’ve recently become unwell on it? If so drop down a dose?

Sinittaadancers · 07/12/2025 12:20

It has ramped up this weekend, I ate a quite fatty lunch yesterday, a mayonnaisy crab sandwich, and just feel so sick now - maybe that’s why?

I already wasn’t eating much before I went on it, am now eating about 1000 calories a day and in deficit according to my calorie tracker, but I think my metabolism is fucked.

Why did you up if it was working? Just dose back down.

Sinittaadancers · 07/12/2025 13:23

I increased it after 4 weeks on .5 mg - weight loss up to then had been slower. But I’ve now been on 1mg for six weeks and the nausea is getting worse

Ok then it’s clearly the fatty foods. It would be highly unlikely you onky burn 1500 cals a day, but it is feasible if you’re very short and maybe very sendantry or bed/chair bound. Otherwise it is more likely you’re under estimating your average daily cals, especially when we factor in things like a fatty lunch and a mayo crab sandwich.

I would really try to eat clean, and see how you feel.

Hey just op if you have update. I was fine and losing will until I moved to 1mg and feel dreadful!

Sinittaadancers · 27/01/2026 19:07

Hi @571a8aaaa , the sickness has eventually subsided. I’ve started being even more careful about any fat in my diet. I’m sticking to 1mg though and not going to increase. 8’ very happy with my weight loss and don’t want to
lose too quickly anyway

Hi @Sinittaadancers did you start to feel better eventually? I'm on my second 1mg pen and I've started to feel awful. Sooo tired and nauseous - struggling to eat. I only had mild side effects before. I'm on day 5 and am seriously thinking about not jabbing on Thursday as I'm struggling to work.
