Has anyone had a colonoscopy on Mounjaro

I'm expecting to have a colonoscopy, waiting to see whether it will be put through as urgent or routine so I don't have a date yet. I'm assuming that WLIs affect the prep process and google tells me I may need to stop MJ for a week before the procedure. Has anyone had one, and what did you do?

I'm on 5mg, been taking Mounjaro for 11 weeks.

I had endoscopy and was told to stop 1 week before.

The clinic will tell you what adjustments if any you will need to make. You may get an appt and generic instructions , so get in touch and make sure you tell them you are taking MJ as soon as you get the appt. They will also make sure you get the bowel prep that takes no prisoners! ( there are different types) . Lots of people have colonoscopy’s and lots of people are on MJ . Don’t worry.

Ok thanks, I was only worried I might get an appointment with less than a week's notice (may be on 2 week pathway). I'll make sure I check with them, especially if they just send the appointment in the post rather than a phone call. DH has regular colonoscopies so I'm familiar with the prep process (and very much not looking forward to it!)

In case anyone comes across this, my team told me there was no need to stop MJ. I did the prep as per the normal instructions, but the MJ definitely slowed it down - the first prep didn't start working for 9 hours! Luckily the second prep seemed to work more quickly and it was all fine for the colonoscopy, but I wasn't all cleared out until just before the procedure whereas I think normally you'd be all done a lot earlier. So, my advice would be to start the prep a lot earlier than advised if you plan to continue taking the MJ!

I had one recently and was told not to rake MJ 48 hours before it. So just adjusted timing of my dose.
They will advise you;it was fine,no o e raised an eyebrow when I said i was on it
