Stop Mounjaro, start Wegovy or quit altogether?

I have used Wegovy, although a slow loser, to lose 10kg over nearly a year in the past.

I did feel a bit tired on it, as well as nauseous and eventually lost motivation to keep going but was happy with what I'd achieved.

I have put on 4kg since stopping a year ago.

I was seduced by tales of Mounjaro having fewer side-effects and thought it would be worth not only losing the 4kg but keeping going to my goal weight (I was approx 76kg starting and wanted to end up around 62kg, I'm 5 ft 1 1/2!)

Mounjaro makes me feel exhausted. After an injection, I've felt just wiped out for several days and had two migraines in the first month. I had almost no appetite suppression. I moved up to 5mg, which did start the appetite suppression but wiped out the first five days. I now do 3.75mg and that still makes me feel terrible for 2-3 days after injecting. I've lost 1kg in 7 weeks.

It's ok to stop, isn't it?

I'm pretty decided Mounjaro doesn't suit me, just wondering whether to go back to Wegovy and have another go. I can't remember how bad the side effects are...

Any wisdom?

If you're feeling that ill, don't buy another mounjaro pen.
I actually was on mounjaro for 13.5 months and was wiped out from day 1 and it just got worse on the higher doses. I've moved to wegovy last Friday so a week ago and finally my mind is clearer and I have more energy, much happier too. I'm on 1.7mg and its given me strong suppression all week long.
I do have a high protein low carb diet to lose weight, have gone from 13st to 9st 2.5lbs in 13.5 months, I have heard others saying it's the low carbs that makes them exhausted, it could be the low calories or mounjaro itself.
I'm eating the same calories on wegovy but do feel better.
Might be worth looking into your diet to see if it's enough calories and protein. Use tdeecalculator.net to work out your deficit and myfitnesspal app to track your food. I wish I had started on wegovy but I did need the blood sugar reducing benefits of mounjaro.

@Mysticmaiden thanks for your reply, it's good to hear that it's not just me in a way, I seem to read a lot about how it has fewer side-effects but I guess the truth is that we all respond differently to different medications, and this one just doesn't suit me. You have done amazingly well, I'd love to do the same. I think the move to Wegovy is a sensible one.
