Has anyone started injections while being on diabetes medication? I am on metformin and rybelsus but need to lose weight. My GP referred me for injections but the wait is 2+ years. Would I need to change my medication if I went on injections? Would a pharmacy even sell to me?

I very much am not any kind of an expert, but Rybelsus is the tablet form of semaglutide which is a GLP1, like Mounjaro. So I don't think you'd be able to take both of those together.

I also think that most/all online pharmacies would not prescribe to you, because of already taking a GLP1 and being T2 diabetic.

Feels like your gp is happy for you to have it, so I’d ask him or her the question on what they intend to do with existing meds if you start privately, as this will be key info for the prescribing decision.
