Weight loss injections- asymptomatic gallstones

I’m really desperate to start weight loss injections, I’ve done lots of GP programmes for weight loss and have been doing a gym programme with a PT for the last 3 months and before that a CBT based health course, I lost about 6 kg at first but nothing else and currently weigh 15 stone but I’ve been around this weight for 10 years and desperate to try and really kick start the weight off properly. I’ve tried to sign up to various providers but because I have asymptomatic gallstones I can’t be approved. Has anyone with the same been accepted or had approval with a GP letter or similar?
I have high blood pressure but no other associated diagnosis so don’t fit criteria via the NHS

does anyone have any advice?

thankyou

Gallstones are unfortunately a side effect from weight loss, if you already have them you're probably at higher risk of complications especially as the injections speed up how quickly you lose weight which is a risk factor in itself for gallstones. I doubt any providers will be able to prescribe for you as you'd likely need to be monitored by a consultant which would only happen on NHS.

I don’t think you will find a pharmacy willing to prescribe, you’d need a private doctor. Potentially try bupa weight management clinic, you will need deep pockets though

Thankyou I think I’ll go back to the GP and see what my options are and keep motivating myself with everything I’m doing so far. Unfortunately private is not feesable but appreciate the info

I believe Oushk in some cases will have a chat with you to get further details and may prescribe with a history of gallstones, especially if your GP is supportive.

Good luck
