Switching supplier to save money

Just started MJ and got a good price for the first injection but obviously expecting to pay a lot more for the second… is it possible to switch suppliers to take advantage of another low price? Or do they only do offers if you’ve never had MJ before? I’m basically looking to stay on 2.5mg for my next dose so wondering about switching supplier to get another cheaper rate at least for the next one, but feels like there must be a loophole to stop people constantly switching for offers?

No, there's no loophole. You can switch for each order if you like. The new customer discounts exist to get you to swap, that's the point of them.

@SilenceInside amazing! Is there a certain amount of time you’d recommend that I ordered with the new suppliers, do I wait until the day of my third dose?

I’d personally order after the second dose as the approvals with some pharmacies can take longer. Also, keep the box of your current one (the one which has the prescription/detsils on it) as some pharmacies ask for proof of your current dose and you can upload a picture of that.

You can swap every single time if you are prepared to redo the consultation and provide evidence of previous prescription when moving up. It may only become more limited when BMI goes down but still entirely possible with many suppliers down well into healthy range with evidence. If cost is a worry I would advise you to read up on click-counting/ sub-dosing - if you order a 5mg pen it won’t be much more than the 2.5mg one and it’s twice the total medication. You have to learn and risk assess for yourself using pens for longer than the UK guidelines but many of us do.

@monjmaintainer thank you, I have heard of this online but not looked into it properly. I will have a proper look once I’m more settled on it.

@littlearriws good to know, I’ve taken my second dose tonight so will think about ordering it soon. Though the last one I ordered on Sunday evening and was with me by Tuesday lunchtime.

I agree with ordering from a new supplier a little earlier than the day you do your third dose, just in case of any queries or issues with uploading photos/videos/doing a video consult or whatever the new supplier is asking for. And yes to keeping the boxes, the printed label showing the date, your name and the dosage is evidence of your previous prescription, so you may be asked for that if ordering higher than 2.5mg.

Thanks all, I was fully expecting to pay up to £200 for the next dose. Have found offers for £105 so I’ll do to a instead and put the other £95 aside for the next one.

Do you mind me asking who they are with please as I need to order a new pen? Thanks

ÂŁ137 looks to be the cheapest price on here without offers, so anything below that with an offer is a bonus: https://click.compare/mounjaro/

If you're not surfing for offers, there's no need to pay more than ÂŁ140 for 2.5mg.

The only really important thing to check is review score, because there is no point paying ÂŁ105 for pen that doesn't turn up or turns up in poor packaging. I'd always assume poorly packed pens have also not been stored according to manufacturer's instructions prior to shipping.
