Wegovy with HRT / contraception

Having problems trying to combine this with the GPs. They have asked Gynae dept at the hospital for advice who want me to double the progesterone in the HRT due to Wegovy, has anyone else had this please? I thought this was the case for mounjaro but wegovy was different?
They are advising the mirena, as I am also on the POP for contraception and wouldn't need that anymore, but I am unsure. They always seem keen on the mirena in general for some reason.

I saw this online about using a combined patch which might be an option, perhaps

My GP prescribed the Evorel Conti patch - combined continuous progesterone as I had taken it continuously before . I refused the Mirena as hated it before. Idk if there’s a sequential patch. Doubling the dose seems a bit heavy handed! I don’t take anything for contraception so can’t advise on that side.,

Thanks I might ask about that. Unsure if that is for later in the menopause transition (still getting monthly bleeds but then that is with the sequential HRT

The other thing is the progesterone can be used vaginally, they have not mentioned that but have seen it is done.

Yes, I didn’t ask about the pessary. I ditched the sequential version of tablets as hated the heavy bleed ( ended up v low iron ) and the hormonal flux was too much . Yes, continuous progesterone is supposed to be for post menopause but GP was happy to give it to me and as you say , how do you know if you’re bleeding because of the medication!

OK that's interesting as going through the same kind of thing- Iron can be low as well- will see if I can change to that patch perhaps thanks and all the best
