Is my sickness due to injection?

i was vomiting for a few hours and feeling rough. Than I got diarrehia about 24 hours later. It's been 3 days now.

Could it be due to injection? I've been on them 3 weeks now. I've already them out over 10 days.

If you read the patient information leaflet that came with your injection pen (Wegovy? Or Mounjaro?) then it will explain the possible side effects. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are possible side effects of these medications.

Have you been able to keep water down? You run the risk of getting dehydrated. An electrolyte solution like Dioralyte would likely help.

Have you taken anything to help? Pepto Bismal is really good.
I hope you feel better soon.

I had this after I tried to up my dose last week, sickness and diarrhoea Fri and then the diarrhoea on its own until Monday. It was horrible. I made sure I had electrolytes in my water everyday day and managed to have some toast and crackers throughout the day. Hope you feel better soon

So I would expect with a dose increase but I've only been on this medication 3 weeks and you would expect illness to be at the start?

Yes of course it's a side effect. It's also a side effect of HIV and a virus

Well if you think you have HIV then you'd better get yourself tested for it as soon as possible....

I was directly answering your question which was "Could it be due to injection?", and my response was "Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are possible side effects of these medications."

As this is a listed side effect of the medication that you are taking, then it is likely to be related to that. The amount of medication in your system has been increasing with each injection, as not all of the medication is gone by the time you do your next jab. Therefore after 3 weeks you have the highest amount in your system that you have had to date. This may potentially cause side effects.

Rude. That response was perfectly reasonable. You're taking medication with side effects of vomiting and diarrhea. You now have vomiting and diarrhea. Its probably your medication.

The hiv comment was weird.

No you seem to be missing the point......

And very black and white

I would think that you would be better off considering that question in relation to yourself.

I hope your D&V eases up soon, and that your trip to the GP was helpful.

Could it be due to injection?

yes it could be

Terrytheweasel · 23/10/2025 18:50

I think op is hoping we can diagnose her. She’s suggesting it could be a virus, HIV (which is also a virus op) or the Mounjaro.

Perhaps you could do a poll op!
