Absolutely has changed how I eat.
Before Mounjaro so many of my meals centered around carbs - loved bowls of pasta and rice with something tasty/creamy/spicy on top, or UPF foods. Now it is simple proteins and lots of veg/salads and minimal carbs - I am not a great cook still but happy with a chicken breast roasted/air fried/on a kebab with some seasoning/spices/basic marinade. I can probably count on two hands how many times I've had a small portion of pasta in the last 16 months on Mounjaro, just don't fancy it anymore.
I used to drink 5-6 cans of Pepsi Max a day. The stuff tastes awful now, even with vodka added 🤣. I've tried it a few times and just didn't enjoy at all. If I go out I ask for tap water, or sometimes an apple juice.
I stopped craving sugar and sweeteners (which I think were also partly responsible for those cravings). I rarely eat biscuits, chocolate, etc at home now because I don't crave or feel I need it. But I can still enjoy a cake/dessert when out or occasional home baking, but no UPF sweet treats/bars etc at home.
I have started eating and enjoying more fish, including smoked mackerel, which I would never have touched before and batch cooking more soup (even through summer!)
I have continued to have a weekly takeaway as a social thing - usually Chinese or Indian but choices are different and/or portions smaller.
What I did notice (and as a heads up for others) is Christmas when I socially ate more treats/sweets/snacks, I could mindlessly eat them no problem and the cravings slowly started coming back. It took most of January once I got back into a routine to get back to "new normal" levels of food noise again. But with patience it did get back to normal eventually without increasing MJ dose.
