Hi all, so far I have done 2 months of 2.5 and 6 weeks of 5mg. I have lost 14kg in total but this has slowed to 0.5kg loss per week for the last 2 weeks and I’m definitely feeling more hungry. I’ve seen that lots of you stick to 5mg for long periods of time. Should I continue with 5mg (as I’m still losing all be it more slowly) or move to 7.5 to quieten the food noise, thanks

I moved to 7.5 after 2 months of 5. Best decision I made, loving 7.5

I prefer to stay low and eat more than I would on a higher dose. I don’t want my body to get used to eating nothing as that’s obviously not going to be very sustainable off the meds. You do get used to the suppression of a dose and the side effects lessen, so you may feel like it’s having less of an effect.

I started MJ 14 weeks ago and have finally lost my first stone. So you’ve lost more or less double what I have in the same amount of time. If that makes you feel any better 😂 0.5kg / 1lb loss per week is brilliant IMO; slow and steady is far more sustainable and better for your skin etc. Give your brain and body chance to adjust.

But do what you want!

I suggest you move up a dose. You can always change your mind and take a lower dose from the pen. However, if you order the 5mg again and find it isn't enough you will regret it.
I moved up each month until I got to 7.5, then spent a few months at each dose before moving up again. I always managed to enjoy 3 moderate meals a day, so was not taking so much that I stopped eating.
