Starting Wegovy- Steps to take as a beginner

I’m about to start Wegovy and just wanted to reach out to see if anyone else is in a similar boat. I’ve had two children, and ever since my second, I’ve really struggled with my weight, energy levels, and emotions. My body just hasn’t bounced back the same way, and between juggling work, family life, and trying to look after myself, it’s been hard.
My GP and I agreed that Wegovy could be a good next step, but I’ll admit I’m feeling a bit nervous, not just about the side effects, but emotionally too. There’s so much tied up in this for me: self-confidence, guilt about prioritising myself, and a bit of fear about failing again.
If anyone has started Wegovy after having kids, I’d love to hear how it’s gone for you, especially how you managed the emotional ups and downs alongside the physical changes. Any tips for managing nausea or appetite changes while feeding a family would also be appreciated! Additionally, can I get some reviews on shemed. It seems good and women-focused, something I kind of want right now.
Thanks in advance, just needed to say it “out loud” somewhere where people might get it.

I started 2 weeks ago, I’m struggling to like
being inside me so felt this could be a tool to support my journey.

In terms of side effects it’s been ok. I have a couple of waves of nausea about 24 hours after my injection. I use extra strong mints to help, a friend uses morning-sickness lozenges from Amazon. I haven’t been sick nor had diarrhoea.

I eat an adapted version of our evening meal- smaller portions and I’m cooking better food. No point spending money on jabs and still eating crap!

I’m not dropping tonnes of weight, but am 7lb down which makes me feel that I’m on track to success. Definitely worth it for me.

Good luck!
