MedExpress have rejected my first Wegovy order after being on mounjaro

I’m so cross.

I ordered 2x 10mg pens at the end of August, so obviously anyone who can count to 8 can work out I haven’t used them up yet. I still had half a pen in the fridge when i ordered them.

swapping to wegovy due to the price increase, their actual website said I could have the equivalent dose to 10mg of mj which think was 2.4 wegovy

got an email this morning saying I’ve had a gap in medication and they will only prescribe 1mg. Unless I can prove I’ve had MJ elsewhere. So I replied back to the email saying i don’t want 1mg and that i haven’t had a gap in medicine, that I had 2 pens only just over a month ago. The second pen order was delayed so i didn’t actually get it until a week into Sept!

and they’ve cancelled my order and refunded me!

I’ve rung up and spoken to someone who said they can see i haven’t had a gap in medication but ultimately it’s up to the clinical team. He suggested I try again but can’t make any promises. So had to order again this morning even though my refund hasn’t come through.

anyone else had issues?

The curse of MedExpress strikes again! Bloody ridiculous if they can see your last order! Honestly, they are a very ‘computer says no’ type of company. You may have had more luck with a smaller, more customer focused pharmacy. Fingers crossed it works out for you!

Thanks, yeah if anyone has any recommendations for a different pharmacy in case I get knocked back again I’d appreciate it.

Even the customer services guy said the clinical team had been “very quick” to reject and should have investigated further. He couldn’t see why it had been rejected. Honestly they’re such a total shower.

They sent me a £30 discount code which only ran out on the 1st Oct (forgot to order before then) so I assume they’d have been fine with me ordering on the 1st but not on the 3rd! 🤷‍♀️🙈

Also in august when everyone had delays due to crazy demand and were worried about missing doses they were emailing people saying not to worry, that missing a week or even two wouldn’t have any effect! One rule when it suits them and a different rule when it doesn’t!

I use e-surgery and they are very good x

Oushk are really good. 2.4mg is equivalent to 15mg not 10mg, that's 1mg or 1.7mg without side effects. I'm on 10mg and been approved for 1.7 with Oushk.

Eeek, is it? Well that’s not what the med express website said. And now they’ve approved it 🙈

Yeh 2.4mg is the highest dose of wegovy that you can purchase, there is no higher dose, which equates to 15mg. Oushk emailed a table and 10mg had 1mg recommended as a swap. How have med express not checked this?

Mysticmaiden · 05/10/2025 16:30

Actually they haven't even put 2.4mg down as it is the highest and don't want to switch anyone immediately over on the highest. I have attached the table. I'd definitely contact them.

MedExpress have rejected my first Wegovy order after being on mounjaro

No idea. So when I went on medexpress and clicked the “change to wegovy “ button it offered me 2.4mg and just said that was equivalent to my current dose of mounjaro and said I could have that or the dose down if I wanted to be careful. But I wanted to stay on what I thought was the equivalent dose. Guess I’ll see how I go! I have no side effects whatsoever on mounjaro, it’s stopped working for me…even at 15mg it wasn’t working for me and I was actually stepping my dose down with a view to stopping when the price rise was announced. I thought I may as well give wegovy a go just in case that by some miracle works. I’ve never had any nausea, sickness and barely any appetite suppression. Think I’m immune to it.

Maybe I’ll use my insulin pen the first week and extract a smaller amount out.?

The highest Wegovy dose is not equivalent to 15mg of Mounjaro.

In fact, none of the doses are actually equivalent.

I've never had side effects either on mounjaro even on 15mg. I'm also tapering down, went down to 7.5mg but got carb and snack cravings so I'm back up to 10mg to lose the last half a stone to get me to 9 stone. Oh well you can but give it a go and see how you get on. I went on med express website and saw the doses recommended as you said. Maybe you'll be fine. You could also reduce clicks. I have seen a few that 15mg didn't work anymore for and wegovy has kicked started suppression so fingers crossed it works. They will be bringing out 7.2mg in near future which gave very similar woght loss results as 15mg mounjaro.
