I’ve been considering Mounjaro for a while after my partner lost 3 stone on it a year ago (and has kept it off) and then the news of price increases came and I’ve no idea where it all landed. Please would those of you in the know mind giving me an update/summary? (Live in England if relevant).

What are the (monthly) costs for it now?

Is there reliable availability or is there now a shortage?

Which tried and tested suppliers do you use that you’d be happy to recommend?

Many thanks in advance for replies to my questions.

Op there is a wealth of info on the various mj chats.

basically

plenty of availability
costs vary slightly but tend to start around £130pm at 2.5
the higher doses are around £300pm
lots of similar suppliers, many have initial cheaper offer but it increases a lot when u go up the doses.
Ive used Asda & family chemist, all been fine, many use med express.

down 5 stone, 3 more to go 🤗

The monthly costs depends on the dosage. The lower doses are cheaper, as you move up the higher doses become more expensive. Look at a price comparison site like https://monj.co.uk for an idea of the prices at each dose. There is reliable availability in general now. There has not been a manufacturer shortage for a long while, any recent shortages are more to do with pharmacies deciding what stock to order.

I personally have used Asda, Zava, Pharmacy2U, WePrescribe and SwiftDoctor, and had no issues with any of those. I have been impressed with Swift, as they do review and deliver quickly, the packaging is the best of any of the others that I have used.

Thank you both very much. I did look at the Mounjaro threads but there was so many hundreds of posts it was hard to find just what I needed. Both your replies were exactly what I was after.

I'm 6 months in, 37 pound down and my only regret is not starting sooner!

As others have said, check out monj for a list of registered pharmacies with prices and discount codes if available. You can also swap supplier e every month to get the best deals, just keep the box as proof of previous prescription it will have a sticker on that is your prescription.

Monthly coats vary and get higher as you go up the doses. You don't need to go up every month, as I said im 6 months in and "only" on 7.5mg whereas technically I could be on 15 by now if I had gone up each month.

Some pharmacies are subscription based so watch out if you don't want to commit to that. Others offer things like coaching. For me personally I didn't want or need bells and whistles I just need me medication ordered easily, delivered quickly and cold, and for a decent price.

I've used Asda a few times as sometimes it's easier for me to be able to collect, also used medexpress, chemist4u, the family chemist, and WePrescribe.
