Can I take Provera on Mounjaro??

Just that, I completely forgot to tell my fertility doctor I started Mounjaro last week. I was told to take Provera for 10 days to induce a bleed as I haven’t had a period for 3-4months. I know MJ slows down digestion but does that mean the progesterone won’t be absorbed fully? It’s a 10 day course 2x daily. Pls help!!!

You should check with your doctor, but I was advised to increase my HRT progesterone tablets from 2 to 3 a day to balance out slower absorption. Similarly women on the pill are being advised to use additional contraception. Basically if the absorption is slower then you’re not getting the full dosage within the expected time frame.

Unfortunately the appointment was quite rushed and I didn’t register the potential consequences. I did however speak to the pharmacy I’m meant to collect the Provera from and the pharmacist said shouldn’t be a problem 🤔 guess I’ll see!
