Starting Wegovy - Looking for people to start a support group.

Hey, I decided to take the plunge and trial out Wegovy in hope that it will be the kick up the arse I need to lose weight.

I can successful manage a diet plan for 3 days the fail hard and fast! Food noise just takes over completely!

I’m looking for others that are new starters to help be a little cheer leading team and help us all keep motivated! I can provide a referral code if needed for £50 off, my first month is costing £38/39 inc postage which I thought was reasonable to see how my body reacts and to see if it’s the route for me. I have successfully been approved today and I am awaiting delivery.

Hoping to meet some friends along the way! Share meal and exercise tips and just offer support to us all trying to achieve our goals.

I hope I can join. I am swapping from 15mg of MJ to 2.4mg of Wegovy. I lost 3st on MJ so I’m worried about the swap. I’m lucky enough that I can fund MJ if I need to go back but I’m really against the pure greed from the manufacture.

Well done on your loss hun that’s amazing! I just can’t justify the MJ prices. I’ve never dabbled in the jabs until now but your experience would be great to hear your perspective on it all! Any tips and hints? I’ve seen the MJ results and wow! I’m just hoping Weg is a cheaper help!

Thank you. I’m just waiting on my pen being approved and currently on the “wash out” period. I’m staring on the highest which is scary especially for the side effects. The only thing I have had constantly is heartburn so fingers crossed it stays the same.

I’ve moved across from MJ on 7.5mg and I’m on the 1mg Wegovy. MJ I had no side effects and lost good amount of weight on 2.5mg, nothing on 5mg and amazing loss on 7.5mg. I continued 7.5 for 3 months but I can’t afford the price hike.

so today I started Wegovy!

had my first dose an hour ago. Just a little apprehensive if I have side effects but I’m hoping not. I’ll stick to good protein based meals, same as I did with MJ . My local gym was closed for a couple weeks for refurb and reopens this week so I’m going to aim for a session 3 times a week.

Honestly I’m gutted with MJ pricing and I wish I’d started Wegovy from day 1 as I could have saved so much over the last 6 months!

Hi, first wegovy jab this morning after 2 months of mj 5mg. I had no side effects and fab losses - 2st over 9 weeks, but want to save some money and so thought let's give it a spin.

No side effects today and all feeling the same as on MJ really.

Only tips I can share would be to remember everyone is different, so it;s impossible to judge how things will be for you by comparing to others.

Also, lots and lots of water (aim for 3L per day), high protein, high fibre, low carb and avoid processed food like the plague. Lots of the tummy and bum issues some people get are due to eating processed / high fat crap. These meds mean your gut just can't deal with it.

Good luck - these meds have changed my life and my family's life too.

Ps. If anyone gives you judgmental crap about making this positive choice - tell them to go fuck themselves (out loud or in your head) and maybe reply 'of course, you are so right, I really should just keep getting more unwell until I die' - that should do it ;)

Thanks it’s the water I think will be an issue but I’ll try my best to drink it. Only DH knows I’m going to start the meds as I think my family may be a bit judgmental. I may tell them later down the line but not yet lol x

I put a bit of squash in my big big water bottle and that helps. I found I get used to drinking a few mouthfuls regularly and that I also get used to weeing like a racehorse too. I feel better for all the water and my skin has never been so good :). Plus, you need all that water to clear the fat out and keep your gallbladder in good shape.

Mines is being delivered tomorrow. I’m excited to take it but worried about the side effects as I am going straight in at 2.4mg 😱
