Of these two, who would you recommend for mounjaro maintenance please?

Pharmulous.

MMP just don’t seem as consistently supportive anymore from what I’ve read.

I’ve been with Pharmulous for 9 months and cannot fault them. Their new prices also look more than fair and they have acted very responsibly throughout recent times!

If I were to move (unlikely!), it would probably be to Swift Dr. Have a look at them too.

Thank you. Problem is I have a couple of pens in the fridge I'd like to use up before switching which I bought on the 14th when everything kicked off. Not sure if they'll accept the order gap.

Also a wee bit worried they won't accept me if I end up under BMI 30 by then. I do have high bloodpressure, so should be good to BMI 27, but they don't ask about blood pressure in their medical assessment.

I can’t comment on Pharmulous but I did recently order as a new patient with Medicine Marketplace and I very much doubt they are not supportive. My BMI is 22.5 after losing 70lbs since January and they happily prescribed me and have confirmed they will support me on the remainder of my journey. I also had placed my previous prescription for 2 pens with another provider at the end of May and showing them the order confirmation and pictures of the boxes they were happy to prescribe.

So you will be fine with being prescribed at your BMI with a gap since your last prescription.

If you were looking at a Pharmacy like Chemist4u and had a BMI 25 or less, they don’t prescribe. It’s against their guidelines.

Thank you. I might just stick with Medicine Marketplace and explain my gap. I'll enclose them mid September let everything calm down a wee bit. Thank you.

@MisseyLurker do you mind me asking what strength pen you got from Medicine Marketplace? Did you discuss coming off it or staying on it indefinitely?

I think I need a new supplier but my BMI is 23.5. I am currently taking 10mg a week and not losing on that so not sure how low a dose I can take without putting on weight. I need to focus a bit more on diet and exercise while I experiment with lower doses but I don’t know which suppliers will let me keep ordering for the next few months with my BMI. I’d also like a prescriber who will let me stay on it as long as I like with my current BMI. I also have three pens in my fridge.

As online ordering seems to be getting more limited as my BMI has fallen, I actually went to see my local pharmacist today and have a consultation on Tuesday. Am not sure if he will be amenable to what I want to do. We chatted a bit about my starting point - obese with high cholesterol - but I didn’t tell him my current BMI. And he didn’t tell me his prices lol. I’m not sure when to try to order again, which size pen to order or who to order from.

I had a spare pen when I started maintenance and simply emailed to let them know and they said they would just put it on my record. All you can do is email and ask!!

There is space in their consultation form to add in anything they should know. They will also take on new customers in the healthy bmi range on an individual basis so that is not a problem.

Great thank you. They do sound like the best option.

These are the 2 I'm looking at as they have 10 mg for 239 in the new prices.
I'm also looking at Medino as I bought a pen from them when the prices went up.

I was under SheMed since Jan so haven't had to shop around until now!

myladyjane · 31/08/2025 16:37

@IReallyNeedThisToWork that’s really interesting thank you. I have 3 pens in the fridge which I hope will see me ready to start titrating down (will still be overweight but not obese I hope). I really want to use them up before I order again to both see how I am doing and letting finances recover a little so somewhere that is accepting of a gap in ordering is important.

MisseyLurker · 31/08/2025 22:58

@Choux I advised that I wasn’t yet at my target weight and have 7lbs to lose but my plan is to slowly come off in time but do not plan to be on it indefinitely.

I ordered a 7.5mg pen as I had been using a 5mg up until now. They were very helpful and they do seem to offer quite a bit of support and have already followed up a couple of times with advice and where to ask questions and get support, they’ve definitely provided more than Simple Online Pharmacy have done until now.

I think if you’re looking for a new provider online who will continue to support at a more reasonable price, then they are who I would recommend.

If I do decide to stay on a bit longer, I may change to wegovey but for the time being, I’m happy to pay for MJ.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2025 12:53

I joined pharmolous less than a week ago and they got back to me 4hrs later - Verified weight and pen sent out next day and arrived today

no issues . Very happy and one of the cheaper v iq curate and Ousch

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2025 13:23

They are £5 different tho P was free p&p and sent next day and arrived

chunkybear · 04/09/2025 11:12

The price they quote on their websites is that for a week dose or a month? I can’t afford 250 a week … but can justify perhaps a year if 250
per month … this is all a bit new to me! Thanks

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/09/2025 12:53

@chunkybear the prices you see are for a pen which contains 4 weekly doses (well actually 5 but don’t worry about that to start with!!).

I initially thought maybe 6 months but 15 months later and nearly 9 stone lighter, I am a lifer!!
