It's my one year anniversary!

It’s my one-year anniversary since I first jabbed with MJ.
A year ago, I honestly didn’t think this was possible. I would have been happy with a stone loss and definitely didn't think it could be so life changing in terms of my whole life style too.

Starting weight: 194lb
Current weight: 123.6lb
Height: 5ft 7in

I’ve been really fortunate to be a super responder with no side effects. I went up to 7.5mg, but I’ve been titrating down since - currently on 5mg every 10 days, and my next two pens are 2.5mg which I will also space out. My plan is to be off it completely by the end of the year.

I strength train 4-5 times a week, focusing on progressive overload, and I eat between 2,000-2,500 calories a day. I never thought I'd be able to eat this much and not gain weight. My weight is stable, but I’m seeing muscle gains, slowly. Cardio isn’t a big focus for me - I just try to get in a 30-minute walk a couple of times a week, and I work a sedentary desk job.

I just wanted to share my story, because this medication has been truly life-changing. I’m saddened by the recent price increases and how they’re going to affect so many people.

If you're in a position to start, do it ✨️

Great news OP. I am 4 months in and have lost 23lb so far. Slow and steady.

Fabulous achievement. Well done. It's my 1 year today too.. I've lost just under 7 and half stone in a year which I'm delighted with, I'm trying to maintain that now am on 10mg, will be coming down the strengths slowly Well that's if I can afford to carry on.. I definatly will for a bit but maybe have to space out doses or something..

Happy 1 year to you too! 7st! That's an amazing achievement! Such a lot to think about in terms of maintenance and doses, made worse by the price increases. Thankfully I had already decided to come off by end of the year anyway, so at least I feel I had some element of control over that rather than being forced to stop due to affordability.
