Med Express asking for feedback on price rise so I've just completed their survey expressing my anger! I know its not Med Express fault but hopefully they can pass on our anger to Eli Lilly.

Yes I received this too. I replied I was unsure if I would continue due to cost although I'm doing to do my very best to do so as I've only got halfway with my weight loss 😭

I'm also unsure until I know exactly how much it is going to cost. I am lucky enough to have some savings I could use to get me through till Christmas, it won't be the end of my journey but I'll see where I am by then.
I am simply furious that drug companies treat us like this.
Yes I know its capitalism, grrr.

Hopefully they are putting pressure on Eli Lilly showing a huge number of patients are considering switching to Wegovy or will have to stop entirely and the impact this will have on them.

Although I'm not sure what Eli Lilly will do as if they reduce UK proposed pricing they will then have to drop US prices to keep Trump happy. Novo Nordisks statements yesterday slashing US prices with some (allegedly) ethical reasons in their messaging, might put pressure on Eli Lilly to look at their pricing. Novo Nordisks timing of their changes and messages must be a direct shot at Eli Lilly.

It’s interesting med express are doing that. Thr pharmacies all make a healthy margin on this drug, and will make a healthy margin on wegovy, so i suspect they are working out their pricing, do they go high, anticipating losing a certain percentage and still making more money, or do they go low and try to take the competitions business and make even more money, where is the sweet spot. They are also likely feeding into the wholesaler. The big guys will be negotiating much bigger discounts and rebates so have more to play with, and the small independents are probably out, so will be interesting to see how the big guys land.
