I’ve been reading the reactions to the price hike news on social media today. I’m am absolutely disgusted that people are so openly mean, nasty and judgmental!

Some of them openly saying we deserve this for cheating!

I decided at the start that I didn’t need the judgement and so I haven’t told anyone not one soul that I’m doing this.

I wonder if this jab helped chronically depressed people would they all be so horrible! It’s disgusting!

Absolutely agree. I'm a secret stabber too - only revealed it on MN! It's my body, my choice what drugs i put into it.

I'm an open death jabber. Anyone who is celebrating the news is very welcome to fuck off from my life. I don't have any room in my life for people who celebrate me becoming obese again and dying early.

Same. Nobody in RL knows. It hasn’t always been easy to hide as the 5mg gave me terrible side affects. Felt nauseous for so many weeks that I forgot what it’s like not to feel sick. Was about to give up but the sickness now seem to have subsided and now this news…

@Nunencoim on week 2 of 5mg and the sickness is real of about 3/4days. Did it just wear off for you?

So silly that people have such judgement about things that don't concern them. I'm not doing WLI, never would (but for other reasons), but I know that people have similar judgement towards keto, low carb, calorie restriction, bariatric surgery, gym goers etc.

Who cares what these people say? Ultimately, it's your life. You're not affecting anyone, much less hurting them, so their insecurities are their problem.

Hope it works for you, whatever your goal, and know that all of society isn't represented by a few!

I agree. I have three friends who are jabbing. They have spent years struggling with their weight and when they told me they sounded so ashamed! Why are people so damned judgemental. Why all the hate?
And I was furious that the prices are going up. Pure greed.

It started after the 2nd 5mg dose and lasted for 6 weeks to the extend I wanted to give up as I just wanted to feel normal again. I didn’t increase the dose after the first month on 5mg…. Nausea, dizziness most days. 2 days diarrhoea and the rest constipation.

Only my mum knows. Get it delivered to her house and go there to jab.

Does anyone remember if people were this judgemental when nicotine patches first came out to help smokers quit? I know its not exactly the same but seems similar to me in that it's helping a large group of people improve their health. I don't recall anyone ever saying smokers were cheating by using patches and that they should just use will power?

Although you're keeping WLI a secret, I bet as soon as you lose weight, these people will be saying I bet she/he's done it through WLI, people like that are just jealous, they want people to remain overweight so that they can feel better about themselves. It's noone else's business but yours anyway.

Social media is designed, on purpose, to surface things to you that make you feel enraged. Shame, disgust, and anger are hugely engaging.

It is not a good way to make predictions about how people you know actually think or feel. It's just a way to get you stewing and scrolling and seeing more ads.

I have told everyone about being on MJ and nobody has insulted or criticised me. It's really fine. It's fine! In real life it's fine.
