Anyone been successful moving providers for maintenance with BMI 22?

Hi all, I’m currently with Voy on 5mg and have been at my goal weight for about 3 months so am basically maintaining.

I previously applied to shift to IQ Doctor and had planned to stay on 5mg for another few months before attempting to stretch doses or wean down. They rejected me for my BMI being too low (currently 22.12) 😩

Can anyone suggest a pharmacy that may be more likely to accept me? Voy is great but very pricey (£199 for 5mg once the referral bonuses run out which mine have!) and given the news on likely price rises today I am panicking!!

Not sure it’ll even be worth it. You’re better off stocking up and then tittering down

With Voy it’s a monthly subscription with not a huge amount of scope to shift deliveries forward or back by more than a few weeks :( I suppose they may change and allow a stockpile in light of today’s news. I’ve contacted them to ask when they will announce what the impact of the price rises is going to be so if I hear anything I’ll post here

I moved to Oushk with a BMI of 21.something and have been with them for a while with zero issues.

It’s £125 for 5mg (with the 15% discount) they offer for maintenance plans.

You’d need to book a maintenance session with them but unsure if you’d get one before the price increase in September 😩. It might be worth a look though!

Thanks paperwhite, that’s great to know. And yes I fear you may be right re the timing but I’ll give it a shot!

in case anyone else is in the same Voy have just posted this on their website https://www.joinvoy.com/blog/mounjaro-price-increase

No increase to at least our next order and they will give at least 7 days notice before any price rises but are basically recommending people change to wegovy

Mounjaro Price Increase in the UK | What You Need to Know

From September 2025, Mounjaro will cost more for UK private patients. Find out what this means and why Wegovy may become the preferred choice.

I've just ordered with Zava and they are saying apart from 2.5mg the other doses are only available to existing customers, so maybe others are doing similar as they must be getting hammered with orders.

gimmemounjaro · 15/08/2025 07:28

Simple Online Pharmacy and Swift Doctor have both told me they will accept patients switching with a BMI of 22. They both do a maintenance plan where you can try coming off MJ and then go back on later if you need to.

YoshiIsCute · 15/08/2025 09:31

Thanks @Southwest12 🙏 Yes I wondered whether some of the providers might at least temporarily block new customers / switchers until this all settles down as I guess the providers that are allowing stockpiling (like Zava) are getting hammered.

And thanks so much @gimmemounjaro, that's great to know re Swift and Simple. I’ll have a look at them today.

Voy have since confirmed that they will not allow ordering off additional pens at the current price and that their MJ prices from September will be going up by 25%. Which is better than 170% I guess!!
