Am I wasting my time with saxenda?

I spoke to my GP today who is nearly certain I will qualify for free saxenda on the medical card here in ireland . But she did say that theu are seeing much better results with mounjaro. This isn't available on the free scheme so I would have to go to one of the online suppliers and it will be approximately 250 euro a month for it which i could just spare at the moment due to other temporary expenses in our life. Should I try saxenda for a few months and see how it goes or would I be better just starting mounjaro straight off . There seems to be loads of info for people on the other glp 1s not much about saxenda. Appreciate any input thank you

You’ve nothing to lose by trying savanna. If it doesn’t work you can try alternatives privately, funds allowing 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would try the Saxenda given that it’s available to you. The average weight loss was lower on Saxenda than on Wegovy and Mounjaro, but people still lost a meaningful amount of weight. If it works for you then you can stick with it, and if you don’t get on with it then you can swap to Mounjaro.
