I have had my 4th 2.5 mg MJ injection. After 3rd dose mild nausea that cleared After 2 days. Told supplier that no nausea but food noise and hunger back and they have said stay at 2.5 mg.

What is the point? I think I should go to 5mg but would welcome opinions

Who is your supplier? Personally I would want to move up too.

I literally had 2 days of nausea no vomiting. I may as well give up as not worth having 2.5 mg for another month.

I went up. Nausea has been unreal but I’m trying to keep fighting through 5mg as so many say it’s the worst dose.

PearlsPearl · 12/08/2025 21:41

Just go up and if your provider say no, just use another. Use monj.co.uk for the cheapest options, I just got a 5mg pen for £99 from iqdoctor and before that £120 from Pharmacy Express. Both great experiences.

Time4changeagain · 12/08/2025 21:42

If they won’t prescribe you 5mg just change supplier. If the nausea gets worse just reduce your dose by counting the clicks, 2.5mg & 5mg are usually the same price so you wouldn’t be wasting money if you had to reduce.

When you say food noise and hunger back is that from day 5 of jabbing and did it go a day or 2 after the 4th dose? 5 days is the half life so its common to wear off around then.
2.5mg only lasted 2 weeks for me and the rest was on will power with ravenous hunger due to being prediabetic and constantly carb craving. Took 10mg to resolve my high blood sugar issues. I had some mild hunger on almost all doses starting off but no other side effects. Id go up if i were you as I'd feel it was a waste of money otherwise being constantly hungry, what's the point of taking it then.

I’d just cancel with Chequp and move to a normal non-subscription online pharmacy who will give you the choice of stay on the same dose, or move up/down one level. You’ll also probably find a cheaper pharmacy too.

glucagal · 12/08/2025 22:16

I would always recommend ordering 5mg for your second pen as they usually cost around the same for double the Mounjaro. So even if you did want to stay on 2.5 for longer, you could take 30 clicks from the 5mg pen and then have option to take 3.75 or 5mg when you feel ready and not be stuck for a whole month if the 2.5mg stops being effective.

In your situation I would tell them it’s 5mg or you are changing suppliers. And do it. Not heard of suppliers refusing to go with customer wishes beforehand other than Shemed subscription as it was part of the offer that they decide dose. (Unless your provider has a serious medical reason to refuse increased dose - this doesn’t sound like the case for you).

SilenceInside · 12/08/2025 22:20

Chequp seems to be like Shemed, it’s a subscription service with additional support and they are not a pharmacy in the sense of selling other prescription-only and OTC medication.

chowmeinz · 12/08/2025 22:55

Why did you tell them that? Do people update their prescriber with details like this? I never have and it much be fine because I have never been asked and been on it 9 months now.

If 2.5mg isn’t working, move up.

edited as I did not see the post above.

Can you leave them or are you tied in? I would just order elsewhere if possible

I went up to 5mg. First week was ok but got a slight rash around the injection site. 2nd and 3rd week rash was worse and on day 3 I was very very ill. I mean for hours out of both ends. It was awful and for me not worth it.
I've dropped to 3.75 and have had no rash or issues this week so clearly 5 doesn't agree with me.
