Ketosis and mounjaro

I've been on mounjaro for a year and was struggling a bit on the spring with not much suppression at the higher doses and stalls.

However more recently I have been eating quite low carb high protein and been able to go back down a dose still not feeling hungry.

I found some keto sticks and tested and it says I'm in mild ketosis.

I'm wondering if this might be working with the treatment to reduce my appetite as it mentions online ketosis itself can do this.

Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this

Keto sticks are very inaccurate.

To reach ketosis you need very low carb, high fat making up most of your calories and moderate protein to make the metabolic shift which I assume you are not doing alongside Mounjaro.

That said carb reduction and increase in protein can help with appetite control, so great if it works for you, but its unlikely to be even mild ketosis.

Also remember carbs are protein savers so don't go way too low, they provide energy so your body doesn't break down muscle protein for the energy it needs. Then the protein you eat can be used for muscle repair/building and other functions.
