Mounjaro and better healing

This is obviously all anecdotal, but since starting Mounjaro last year I’ve noticed I heal better. Spots, paper cuts, and now from a laparoscopy. I’ve healed faster from all sorts of things better than expected. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same?

Well that’s very interesting!
I must say I haven’t noticed healing quicker but I don’t really get cuts however I can’t think of the last time I had a spot. I was never particularly spotty but I might get one around my period, in my chin area.
Now I’m curious as to anyone else who has experienced similar to you op.

I believe obesity can cause slower wound healing. So maybe more a side effect of the weight loss rather than the mounjaro perhaps.

Good point. It is supposed to reduce inflammation too.
And I think high blood sugar may slow down healing too? I have made that up and this is not backed by science 😂
I eat barely any sugar anymore.

Yes my thinking was lower inflammation!

I’ve not noticed that I heal better. Bruises still linger for weeks, insect bites stay for ages.
But I’ve not had any spots, not even whiteheads in the crease of my nose. Hadn’t realised until you listed it.

Have you improved your diet as well? Anti inflammatory foods work.

Yes but I’m not purposely eating anti inflammatory foods

I have loads more spots since being on mounjaro, acne along the edge of my jaw. I assumed it was as my hormones are haywire with the weight loss. Not noticed anything on healing.
