Is it 50 clicks from a 7.5pen for 6.25

Hi all

I'm about to start a new (first) 7.5mg pen but I only want to take 6.25mg from it as 6.25 is working really well.

Is it 50 clicks?

Also how many 6.25 doses would I get out of a 7.5 pen is it 5 plus the bonus dose rather than the usual 4 plus bonus as I'll be using less each time?

Yes I make it 50 clicks too. 6.25/7.5 is 0.83, or 83%, and 83% of 60 clicks is 50 clicks.

If you do 4 lots of 50 clicks, there will be 4 lots of 10 clicks that you haven’t used, so an additional 40 clicks. So not quite the 50 clicks you’d need for another 6.25mg dose. 40 clicks is 5mg from a 7.5mg pen.

Ok thanks so I could do 4 doses of the 6.25 using clicks and then syringe out a 5th 6.25 which would be 0.5ml? Would there then be enough to syringe out a 6th 6.25 I don't know how you work that out! And I'm aware this would be beyond the 30 day limit

There’s usually around 0.6 to 0.9 ml left after doing 4 full 0.6ml doses. So after doing 4 doses at 50 clicks there will be the 4 x 10 clicks left (which is 0.4ml) plus the usual 0.6 to 0.9ml left over. So that would be 1.0 to 1.3ml left in the pen after 4 x 50 clicks. So likely just about enough to do two more 0.5ml doses with a syringe.
