So having always been a healthy bmi I am now just under 30 due to piling on the pounds in the last year. I have high cholestoral, I've filled in all the questionnaires etc for 2 providers and then just needed to take full body pics etc to verify. All my pictures have been rejected with no reason why and asked to resubmit, I haven't lied at all about my weight and I don't know what to do? Obviously I don't want to have to go on injections, I really don't but it seems so common and with going on holiday this year etc and never been this heavy in my life I would have liked to give them a go. Any advice would be much appreciated

How are you taking them? Full length including your face, vest top and leggings are generally the kind of standard they want.

Show us the picture with your face obscured.

Is it actually because your BMI is under 30?

ThePure · 26/07/2025 17:53

Could you not just take a more unattractive picture? Lots of social media people seem to have tips and tricks for taking more attractive pics so I guess just reverse those. Poor posture, clothing digging in etc

That's my thought

But they accepted my other conditions and weight readings and bmi etc, before asking for the pictures as the final step, which is what has confused me. I will probably just leave it rather than keep trying but I just wondered why it was the pictures I was failing on!

Has to be full length and in close fitting clothes

@Clumsycorvid@AhBiscuits if she has high cholesterol, she is eligible with a bmi of 27 or over so that shouldn’t be an issue

I would look at one of the pharmacies that do video calls to verify your weight (all will have to do this shortly!) or a local independent pharmacy where the pharmacist will weigh you so you’ll remove any element of doubt.

Ah, right! Thanks for the info

Who are you doing it with? Did they give any guidance? How do you know the photos were rejected? what did the email say?
