Can I clarify, no liquid was injected with on 5th dose

I’ve got my weeks in a muddle, assumed I was on 4th dose, went to inject, realised the end of the pen was not moving, and having checked date of last order, realised I’ve completed 4 doses with this pen.
Have ordered new pen, on same dose, 5mg, as don’t feel I need anything more. But I want to be sure none will have been injected today? Or if it was, it was only a minimal amount, and I can then inject tomorrow as normal?

Difficult to tell. If you were on your 5th full dose I wouldn't have expected you to be able to have dialled all the way up until there was a 1 in the window.

What exactly happened and how does you pen look now?

It looks like the 4th dose picture, I was in a hurry and was able to turn the pen a few clicks, but it didn’t get to 0 at all, and then tried to inject it. It let me hold for a count of 2/3 seconds, and then wouldn’t let me push it any further. I didn’t stop to even think it might not have any left.

But did it turn all the way to 1 before you tried to inject?

It didn't get to 0? or 1? How many clicks did you turn? Did you manage to push back down to 0?

If you can't explain exactly what you did any replies are just going to be guesses which are not use to you..

No, it didn’t turn to 1.
it clicked a few time, 4 or 5, and then I injected into my leg.

I turned the end of the pen 4 or 5 times from 0, it did not get to ‘1’. In my haste, late to collect children, I didn’t register that this meant it wasn’t ready.
I then injected, and held the end of the pen down for 2 to 3 seconds, before realising it would not let me inject any further.
so I didn’t get to turn it to 1, probably only 4/5 clicks, and the pen still looks like the 4th pen based on the picture above.

4 to 5 clicks is a negligible amount of medication, 0.4mg ish instead of a full dose of 5mg. So I would say that I would treat that as not having injected anything. So you could inject a normal dose tomorrow, when your new pen arrives.

Sounds like you haven't injected anything at all.. if it was me I would do it now, do you have a syringe to draw the remaining liquid out..

4 or 5 clicks will be such a small amount if any ..

I have done 4 weeks at 5mg, and so as some people move up after this period of time, it could be I’ve had slightly higher than 5, but nothing significant.
