Hello
asking on behalf of a friend:

was using juniper - then moved to med express to save on costs. But friend is saying they can feel a difference in the efficiency? of the injection. I don’t know if I have worded that correctly. Basically the med express one is not working as well as the juniper one did. (Med express dose is higher).

I thought it is the exact same medication - but have been told there are different brands of it. I don’t know as I don’t use them.

so this is the box from med express. Can someone post the image from juniper if you have it please.
Thankyou!

Only one manufacturer, Eli Lilly is licensed to make Mounjaro; there are no generic versions.

Mounjaro is a brand name so there can be no difference between suppliers.

Lots of reasons why she may feel less efficacy.

Effects do come and go as your body constantly adjusts to the medication and trying to adjust itself against weight loss, I have been on the same dose for 14 months and some days/weeks it feels much less effective then it suddenly comes back mid week or following week using the same pen.

What she has eaten affects how well the medication appears to work. Mounjaro works on your hormones which tell your body your full/stop thinking about food - but some things can still override that message and make you crave more - sugar, alcohol, refined carbs etc.

As someone above says, injecting in a different area stomach, arm, thigh.

She may have a pen that has been stored incorrectly and lost some effecacy (very unlikely as pharmacies should know how to handle the medication)
