Storage of MJ after first use

Hi everyone Where are you storing your MJ pen after first use? I am worried about "room temperature" on hot days and also if fridge could be too cold..

I have always kept mine in the door of the fridge, even though I am in Scotland and we haven't hit 30 degrees yet!

I started this after there were some concerns in the beginning about how long the pens were taking to be delivered, and whether the cold chain was broken. People said to be on the safe side, keep them in the fridge, and I have done ever since. I've been taking MJ over a year now with nearly 6 stone lost and no issues.

Used to keep in chest of drawers in my bedroom but last month been keeping in fridge door now as I realised my flat gets kinda warm, so thought best place is fridge till winter..

I keep it in the fridge and only take it out to use it. I live in a hot country and even the pharmacy dispense it in a chiller bag.

Have you had regular delays in delivery then?

I recently switched from Wegovy to Mounjaro. I always paid for next day delivery and the Wegovy always arrived on time, with the ice pack still icy. With my first dose of Mounjaro it should have arrived on the Saturday but didn't actually arrive until Sunday evening, despite paying for next day delivery. I noticed it was delivered by a different courier than the Wegovy too. The ice pack inside had completely turned to water and was room temp, as was the syringe. I took it anyway because I needed to get started, but I complained to my provider about the late delivery and they didn't even respond to me.

I am now into my third dose and it's been in the fridge the whole time. But I am concerned it was compromised by late delivery because although I am obviously back on the very lowest dose since switching from Wegovy, I haven't felt a single side effect, (whereas in the first couple of months of Wegovy I had loads) I haven't felt the tiniest bit of appetite suppression, I am wanting to drink alcohol again, which I didn't from day one of being on Wegovy, and I have started to put a bit of weight back on.

Mine is kept in my knicker drawer. No one knows I’m taking it.
It’s been fine, I’m 5.5 stone down and it’s never been cloudy.

I used to have some issues with the providers I used in the beginning, but I haven't had that for a long while. I found there are no issues with delivery from IQ Doctor, and Simple Online Pharmacy are even better because they price match. It always arrives the day after I order like clockwork.

I understand your concerns, and I used to worry about this a lot, but I genuinely don't think your pen will have been compromised. I used to be in a huge MJ group on here where this was discussed a lot and people even contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed it was fine after being out of the fridge for longer than expected with delivery. I don't think about it at all anymore.

I also wouldn't worry about it not working yet - I thought exactly that for the first couple of months. I posted on here about it a lot, and now I'm nearly 6 stone down. Just keep going and you'll see progress.

Fridge for me too, although I'm going away next week so was going to chance keeping it in my knicker drawer as we'll be sharing a fridge. I've already done the first dose from it "cold" (I'll do 2 and 3 whilst I'm away) I'm sure its fine out of the fridge after first dose!

I had a very similar issue last weekend. I wasn't home for my Saturday delivery and had to reschedule for Sunday. The ice packs were totally melted and pen was room temperature. It was also 30c here last Saturday!

My prescriber did reply and assured me that even if the ice pack was completely melted, their strict temperature control protocol means pen is protected for at least 48 hours (I recieved mine within 36h of initial dispatch)

I did some research and am satisfied the medication wasn't ruined.

You did the best thing which was to use the pen immediately, as once the pen has been used for the first time it doesn't need to be refrigerated. Mine sat in the fridge for 5 days before I used it.

Only thing I'm not 100% clear is on alternating between fridge and room temperature. As per my prior post I'm planning to keep mine out of the fridge whilst away and I'm not sure if that means it then needs to stay out of the fridge or can be put back in when I get home?
