I need to make a decision soon about whether to continue

I've been taking mounjaro since the start of April and have lost just over 2 stone so far, with another 2 or 3 to go. I'm coming to the end of my pen now and really can't decide whether to order another one or not due to the side effects. I've had reflux constantly, and severe food aversion to the point that the thought of most food repulses me. I've found it really hard to eat as I've felt so sick the whole time and have been having to force myself, and sometimes even the smell of food repulses me and I end up not eating even half of what I've made. I've been on 5mg for the last 2 months and haven't even tried going up to the next dose

For anyone who's had similar, is it worth persevering and likely to get better? Has anyone found anything to help manage these side effects? I've been taking omeprazole to help with the reflux, which does take the edge off slightly

If you are having side effects can I ask why you upped from 2.5? I would go back down if I were you for your next pen. You are having decent losses. I started middle of March and I'm taking 3.75 . I don't have reflux but I do sometimes feel too full and I still get really tired so I wouldn't want to go up to 5 fully.

I agree with the previous post.
Drop back down to 2.5mg?
I moved up to 5mg after 10 weeks on 2.5mg. I stayed on 2.5mg for as long as it was working (and until I had the constipation under control)
Found 5mg too strong, dropped to 3.75mg for 2 weeks and have this morning tried 5mg again as I was having no effects (side or otherwise) from the 3.75mg

There is no need to rush up the doses if it makes you feel unwell.

I did the first two months on 2.5, but for about the last 3 weeks of that I was having no supression at all

Sounds like 3.75 would be worth trying. I think that would be 45 clicks of your 5mg pen?

I second this.

I took 45 clicks of my 5mg pen for 3 weeks. By week 3 I was not having any positive effects (and no side effects), so today moved back up to 5mg and am keeping my fingers crossed.
Worth a try before stopping?

Thank you. I think I've got enough left in this pen to do a dose of 3.75 so I will give that a try and see if it helps
