Has anyone had liquid dribble out after injection?

Last night was my second ever jab. First jab no issues. This one I did just below my belly button and my skin there kind of depressed funny so as I was pushing the plunger with needle in it looked odd anyhow pushed plunger right down and held it for longer than 5secs but when I remove the needle some fluid a teardrop size came out with it. Now I’m worried I haven’t had a full dose but I guess there is nothing I can do til next jab? I’m on 2.5ml. Will see how my suppression goes. Sigh that’s £40 down drain if I fucked it!

It’s pretty normal, I’ve had it happen several times with no discernible effect to the effectiveness of the medication.

I wouldn't be concerned about a tear drop size dribble.

Did you do at least 2 inches away from your belly button?

Oh good to know. It’s all so new to me. 5lb down already which is a bit fast I think - I don’t want pancreatitis! Hopefully the nausea will settle soon. Think I’m going to stay low dose as long as I can.

I poss wasn’t far enough away maybe inch 1.5inch at most and I have a big innie belly button and did it underneath (as first jab on top so was trying to go away from first site) lesson learned that location doesn’t work for me- will try thigh next I think and keep to tummy above belly button!

The instructions for use that come in the box with the medication tell you the injection sites you can use and say you should inject 2 inches (or 5cms) away from the belly button. I think is because the underlying tissue in that area is different and not suitable for subcutaneous injections.

The two leaflets in the box contain a lot of useful information and are worth a read again if you are likely to have missed anything else.
