Currently away on holiday but will be starting on 0.25mg of mounjaro when I get back in the hopes of losing a stone.

I used to be so slim pre children and really hoping I can get back to feeling more myself.

I'm just wondering if people can give me tips on things to do when starting to take it, or things they wish they had known beforehand?

Many thanks!

Keep the box that your pen arrives in so that when you want to change provider for a better price you won’t have to buy 2.5 again! Expensive lesson for me.

Ditch all your expectations! I honestly thought I’d lose a stone a month because I’d seen some tiktokkers have those kinds of results but the reality has been different. As it turns out, the way I’m losing is much, much healthier but there’s weeks where I lose nothing and this week, despite following it to the letter, I still gained 1/2lb. Overall my average losses are 1.5lbs per week (some weeks I’ll just suddenly drop 3lbs) and I’m learning to stop obsessing about it and just get on with it.

Don't go up the doses for the sake of it. I've never gone above 7.5 and have lost almost 3 stone so far. I'm also only 5ft and got a tiny bit left to go so now I inject every 10 days which is working for me. I prefer to take it at night as I find it makes me a little nauseous straight away but I have insomnia anyway so don't notice more sleep disturbance!

Keep your protein up. Plan small meals. And drink plenty of water - especially in the heat.

Take a "before" pic?

Definitely this. When the scales don't always show a loss, comparing a before and after can really help you see the difference.

These are great tips thank you so much- I'll try to up the protein as much as possible and drinking water is certainly my downfall! So I'll ensure I drink as much as possible. Did any of you also tie it in with intermittent fasting eg ?

I do IF.

I'm doing 20/4 at the moment.
