Has anyone tried them? I keep seeing adverts on social media but not sure if they are snake oil…the reviews look a bit fake.

Absolutely not. Snake oil 100%.

The only oral GLP1 that's available in the UK is Rybelsus which is a tablet version of semaglutide, the medication that's in Ozempic/Wegovy. However, that is not available for weight loss, it is used for Type 2 diabetes treatment. You wouldn't be able to legitimately get a private prescription for it.

Anything else is probably a herbal supplement called berberine, which is absolutely not a GLP1 medication. The advertising of this as any kind of GLP1 is utter nonsense. There is no good evidence that berberine helps with weight loss in any way.

Yes it’s suddenly all over FB …looks suspect TBH !

SevernWonders · 05/07/2025 16:29

Yeah if you read up on the blurb it actually is nothing to do with GLP1.

As @SilenceInside said, there is only one that is legit, and it is a prescription medicine.

Ah thanks I did wonder, I’m seeing these all over the place. Will avoid!
