Disaster! Fridge broken. What to do with pens?

The cooling element has gone on our fridge. We live in the South East so, with the temperature as it is, this is bad timing but what makes it particularly poor timing is that I have one pen in there with dose 4 and the bonus dose and then two unused pens (one of which was only delivered a few days ago).
I think my current pen will be fine as, when I first started MJ, I used to keep them in a cupboard rather than the fridge once I’d taken the first dose anyway.
With the other two, they’ve been above 5 degrees for three or four days now and are now at room temperature so I’ve only got another 26 or so days in which I can use them but, by the time I’ve used up the 4th dose from the current pen (Weds) and the bonus dose (next Weds), that only leaves me 18 days so I could only take 2 or three doses from one of the unused pens. So that will leave me with 1.5 pens I can’t use.
Is there anything else I can do?
How do I even dispose of pens I cannot use?
A neighbour has offered me some space in their fridge. Is it better to put the pens into a fridge now that they have got up to room temperature or just leave them at this temperature?
I am so annoyed & disappointed as it is such a waste of money.

Oh what à nightmare! Could you ring your supplier up and ask their opinion? (without mentioning golden doses and multiple pens perhaps).

As they’re both a room temp then as you say they both should be used with 30 days, which clearly can’t happen. It’s up to you whether you want to fridge them now in the neighbour’s fridge and then decide to use them past the 30 days.

Eli Lilly do have an online tool for calculating whether they would be ok or not, but I can’t remember which thread I saw the link to it on.

If you ask the supplier / manufacturer they will almost certainly say that now they have been out of the cold supply chain you must use within 30 days. So if you want to be 100% safe that is what you should do. Unused medicines can be returned to any pharmacy for safe disposal.

on the other hand, the fact that this drug has a license to be kept out of the fridge for 30 days means that in the scale of temperature sensitive drugs it’s pretty robust. I take another injectable with is 30mins max. Manufactures have to go through really robust trials to prove that there are no changes to the active ingredients under licence conditions, and there’s always a contingency. All of which is to say that I personally would put them back in the fridge now, keep in the fridge throughout use, but otherwise use as normal. You’ll need to make your own decision though. I’d be much less relaxed if your house is hot and they’ve reached over 30 degrees though.
