No weight loss for the last 3 weeks, is this normal ?

Asking for DP. He’s on 10mg, been using mounjaro since Feb and lost about 3.5 stone. He’s massively turned his eating habits round, no snacking in the evenings for example and does a pretty active job. However the last 3 weeks he’s been stuck at 103.4 kg, no change on the scales whatsoever. He’s monitoring calorie intake and in a deficit most days. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this ? Appreciate that the weight loss does slow down.

Has he recalculated his calories taking into account his weight loss?
Does he have much more to loose?
Plateaus are really common and the last half stone took ages for me, I think it takes your body a while to catch up with all the changes so it sometimes feels like nothing is happening, often it’s worth taking some measurements as sometimes the scales stay the same, but things are still changing.
I’ve been maintaining for about 4 months, weight has stayed the same but my tummy is getting flatter and slimmer, I know some of it is exercise related but it’s also the Mounjaro still helping me out.
I’d suggest he just keeps on doing all the right things and hopefully the scales will change soon.

Totally normal and not even classed as a ‘plateau’ until you get past 4 weeks.

It’s been hot which can cause you to retain more fluids. His body might be having a ‘recalibration pause’. He may need to increase his water intake. He may have some constipation and be a bit more full. There are loads of reasons why this happens. Bodies are just weird sometimes!

Thanks ! Some good thoughts there. I guess the huge weight loss can’t carry on for ever either !
